Epcc-2 Package (RFCC Unit) ) For Petrochemical and Lube Integration Project "Lupech" (J-18)

This document provides load calculations for a pipe rack structure. It defines multiple load cases including dead loads from structural members, gratings and handrails; equipment loads from a deaerator; pipe loads when empty, operating and during testing; wind loads based on the basic wind speed at the location; and friction loads from pipes on the structure. Self and imposed loads are applied in the structural analysis software STAAD, along with design wind pressures calculated according to Indian standards.

5 LOAD CALCULATIONS

Load Calculation for Primary Load Cases are as follows.

5.1 LC 1 : DL (Dead Load)

A) Self-weight of Structural Members are generated in STAAD by defining the self-weight command. In addition to
selfweight 10% considered for connections and fixtures.
* Note: Vermiculite based lightweight cementitious Fire proofing is considered and applied through STAAD pro.
Specification command.
B) Self Weight of Grating = 0.5 kN/m2

C) Self Weight of Handrail 0.16 kN/M

D) Cable Duct load (1200 x400 assumed 2 Ducts Lvs) 960 kg/m per duct

E) Cable Tray Load 600 mm (Total gravity load considered) 0.85 kN/m + 0.85 kN per each level

F) Blind Flooring load below Air Cooler (150 mm thick assumed) .It has been considered in Staad Model.

5.2 LC 2 : IL (Imposed Load)

Imposed loads on Platforms = 3.0 kN/m2

Imposed loads on Air Cooler Platforms = 5.0 kN/m2
5.3 LC 3 : EE (Equipment Erection/ Empty Load)
