HOW HABITS OF AN ORDERLY MIND IS INDISPENSABLE TO PROGRESS AND DEVELOPMENT TO

MARKETING

In the book of the above tittle we have some concepts that I as a marketing candidate tried to
connect to how some of these habits l learnt in the course can help me become a successful and
self-aware in my academic professional life.This course that I am studying includes mathematical
concepts,being able to pay attention,ability to solve scientific concepts, and the habit of putting
things in order.

Habits of an orderly mind partially focuses on mathematical concepts and this has helped me to
develop the knowledge of the mathematical necessity of a particular mathematical relationship.
For example, in lesson 9 we focused on these mathematical concepts where we dealt with
mathematical concepts like division,multiplication,and addition . These mathematical concepts
are important to Marketing as a profession, it encourages logical reasoning and thinking. l have
better problem-solving skills that l attained from this course, as one needs to teach a client how
to handle and budget money and this is where the importance of mathematics.

Moreover , in the 1st (first) lesson of the book of habits of an orderly mind has taught us the
concept of paying attention an immediate example of this,is in activity 1.b. this lesson teaches on
how to mark the pairs in both figures that have the same shape, we had to pay attention to what
the question was telling to do, and we had to pay attention to the shapes that looked similar to
each other and not focus on how they were shaded.

On the other hand,being attentive is necessary for marketers to understand whatever data
they’re analyzing and extracting from questionnaires during market research.This books also
helps Marketers to be able to do this without any difficulties and listening carefully,
concentrating, asking the relevant questions.Scientific concepts are those ideas that help
understand scientific phenomena and guide understandings of scientific principles, laws and
theories.An example of this scientific concept in Habits of an orderly mind is found in lesson 6
where Mr. Liu explains to the 5 children about the rays of the sunlight after they go through the
magnifying glass, he begins to explain that the rays are directed towards a point and if a paper
was placed under that point, it would be burnt. Scientific concepts can also be used in
Marketing . It provides a systematic, organized series of steps that help ensure consistency in
exploring Marketing problems and analysis .

The concept of order can help in the progress and development of Marketing,order refers to the
arrangement or disposition of people or things in relation to each other according to a particular
sequence either ascending or descending, pattern, or method. In lesson 5 we can see how the 5
friends and Mr. Liu stated some of things that are put in order naturally and other arrangements
for example the V-formation of birds this allows geese to travel much more further, the
arrangement of planets as they orbit around the sun, the arrangement of pots and plates in the
kitchen and many more. Orderliness can help a Marketer in a way that Marketers are able to
solve relevant issues in their work, when a marketer has a number of tasks to deal with
orderliness can help save time and ensures a first come, first serve method, it also helps reduce
frustration resulting from stress and exhaustion.

In a nutshell the book of habits of an elderly mind,is a very crucial book which is very beneficial
to my marketing program i’m studying.This is because of many day to day lessons it teaches.The
book also has a lot to offer to whoever reads it because the lessons are applicable to our day to
day life.
