A Poem On Betrayal
A Poem On Betrayal
Betrayal
The sting of betrayal cuts deep, Like a wound that won't heal or sleep, It comes
unbidden and unwelcome, And leaves a scar that won't succumb.
In friendships once strong and true, Betrayal is a bitter brew, A trusted ally becomes
a foe, And trust is shattered, left in tow.
In relationships built on love, Betrayal's claws sink deep and rough, A heart once
open, now closed and cold, A bond once strong, now broken and old.
In life, betrayal comes in waves, A cruel reminder that nothing stays, That even those
we hold most dear, Can turn on us, without a care or tear.
But in the midst of pain and strife, There is a chance to renew life, To forgive, to heal,
to move on, And find a way to right the wrong.
For in the depths of betrayal's grasp, Lies the chance to break the past, To forge a
new path, strong and true, And build a life that's bright and new.
