2. Non-action verbs/Helping verbs Verbs that do not express any action. They are used to refer to physical characteristic and conditions and help the main verbs
a. Verbs to be @ be verbs (am, is, was, were) b. Verb to have (has, have, had) c. Verb to do (do, does, did) d. Modal verbs (can, shall, will, could, should, would, may, might, must )
