B. REASON
(1) History
This Service Bulletin is issued further to an operator's request.
(2) Objective/Action
This Service Bulletin consists in the:
- Installation of the two DCDUs (FIN 2TX1 and FIN 2TX2)

- Removal of the safety clips from the DCDU circuit breakers (FIN 6TX1 and FIN
6TX2)
- Activation of the ATC MSG P/B switch on the CAPT glareshield panel (Electrical
Panel 131VU) and the F/O glareshield panel (Electrical Panel 130VU) (the INOP
placard from each ATC MSG P/B switch will be removed)
- Activation of the DCDU pin programming
- Modification of the Flight Warning Computer (FWC) pin programming
- Addition of the Air Traffic Service Unit (ATSU) pin programming.
(3) Advantages
Accomplishment of this Service Bulletin will satisfy the operator's request.
(4) Operational/Maintenance Consequences
None

This Service Bulletin consists in the:
- Installation of the two DCDUs (FIN 2TX1 and FIN 2TX2)

- Removal of the safety clips from the DCDU circuit breakers (FIN 6TX1 and FIN
6TX2)
- Activation of the ATC MSG P/B switch on the CAPT glareshield panel (Electrical
Panel 131VU) and the F/O glareshield panel (Electrical Panel 130VU) (the INOP
placard from each ATC MSG P/B switch will be removed)
- Activation of the DCDU pin programming
- Modification of the Flight Warning Computer (FWC) pin programming
- Addition of the Air Traffic Service Unit (ATSU) pin programming.
(3) Advantages
Accomplishment of this Service Bulletin will satisfy the operator's request.

is responsible for obtaining approval by its airworthiness authority for any adaptation
necessary before incorporation of the Service Bulletin.

WIRING IN A SATISFACTORY CONDITION (ELECTRICALLY AND MECHANICALLY
SERVICEABLE). WHEN YOU DO A MAINTENANCE WORK, REPAIRS OR
MODIFICATIONS, ALWAYS KEEP ELECTRICAL WIRING, COMPONENTS AND
THE WORK AREA AS CLEAN AS POSSIBLE. TO DO THIS:

(a) Standard Practices
1 For the general installation of electrical wire harnesses, refer to Ref. ESPM
20-33-00.
2 Tag all the parts you must remove and retain to make the subsequent
installation easier.
3 For the protection of the connectors, contacts and terminals, refer to Ref.
ESPM 20-54-50.

4 Do a check of the electrical connectors before you connect them, refer to

5 For the installation of placards, refer to Ref. AMM Task 11-00-00-400-003.
6 Remove and install fasteners in accordance with Ref. SRM 51-42-00.
7 To torque tighten the electrical component fasteners, refer to Ref. AMM
Task 20-21-15-912-001.
