PROCESSING

A. Based on what you have observed in class, identify the benefits of using mother

tongue, Filipino, and English as MOIs.

1. Mother tongue

As educators, we will need to be able to apply higher-order thinking abilities,

such as critical and creative thinking to cope with a variety of complex situations. We

most be able to teach children how to use and relax their potential in academic

success, particularly in difficult areas.

2. Filipino

Considering texbooks and other educational resources are written in Filipino

adapting in Filipino as a mode of instruction allow students to better understand the

facts and context of the conversation, when there is a tournament , the children are

encouraged to mingle with other pupils, some of whom may be. Filipino is a language

that majority of people speak, making it an excellent option for children to communicate,

especially now that should is back in session.

3. English

One of the many advantages of studying English as a second language is that

teacher students how to comprehend and communicate effectively in English. Like the

instructional students, the youngsters will be globally competitive and prepared for their

chosen professional path in the future.

B. Based on what you have observed in class, identify the strategies to improve the

teacher’s ability to help students understand mother tongue, Filipino, and English.

To guarantee that students fully understand the MOI language, instructors

should use approaches such as multilingual instruction and creation of new educational

resources in the student’s mother tongues. Filipino and English-speaking students must

be exposed to learning activities and resources such as books, music and movies in

both languages in order to understand and become proficient in both. By doing so, they

will be able to communicate with others outside of the classroom and use the language.

C. Explain how mother tongue can enrich cultural awareness of both teachers and

students.

Teaching in students mother tongue may result in a stronger understanding of

are another cultural roots and traditions. Is there anything particular about their way of

life that I should be aware of? As a result, students and teachers will have a better

understanding of one another, knowing more about their teacher origins and motives

may help students relate to them more successfully.

REFLECTION
Complete the following:

1. I realized that

Using their mother, Filipino and English in the classroom is critical for helping

students learn from step one, which is learning in their mother tongue, all the way up to

the more advanced stages, which are learning in the English language as they progress

through school, with their strategy, children will first acquire a love of their local

language before expanding their linguistic to include both our national language and the

language of the rest of the globe.

2. I believe that

When children have the MOI of their mother tongue, they are more able to study

and explore their original tongue before moving onto other language that are their

second languages, in my opinion. As a consequences, students will be better equipped

to understand their own culture and customs, which they may use in the future when

looking for work.

3. I feel that

Because individuals use their Mother tongue at home and in their community,

where they are most likely to encounter it students will learn more efficiently if they are

taught in their mother tongue, which will also aid in memory. Using a step-by-step

progression through the stage of language that defines our Filipino identity and the

global language that is used to connect with people all over the world. This will assist

students in becoming more internationally aware and competitive, which is especially

important in today’s increasingly competitive global economy.

4. When I become a teacher, I will

Even in late grade, some students may struggle to follow order or engage in

class discussions when Filipino and English are used as MOI’s since they are more

accustomed to speaking their home language. Despite this, we should urge our pupils

to study both language because it will increase their future educational and job

chances.
