PV Module Operation & Maintenance

The solar photovoltaic system will perform best when there is simple and periodic maintenance
tasks carried out to ensure safe, efficient and reliable operation.

To increase the average output, solar panels should be cleaned at least twice in a
week if environment is dusty.

Accumulation of dust on the surface of PV panel can reduce the performance of solar PV system by
50%

Suggestion for cleaning

 Cleaning of solar panels should be done only after 5:30 pm till 6:30 am.
 Do not stand on the module while cleaning
 Do not clean the module when the cable and glass are broken, which may trigger a risk of
electric shock
 Do not use hard material or steel wire.

 Window Viper / Microfiber cleaning cloth

Cleaning process
Step 1: Dusting

 Dusting process should be taken by dried microfiber cloth to remove any dirt deposits on
panels.
Step 2: Washing

 Fill the bucket with water

 Carefully wet down the solar panels with water. Do not pour water under the panels or onto
the electrical connection boxes/wiring.
 Dip the cleaning pad (sponge/microfiber cloth) into the bucket and clean each panel from
top to bottom individually.
 While cleaning bird drops, do not rub the panel, instead soften it with water for some time.

Step 3: Drying

 Use dry microfiber cloth or window wiper to remove any remaining water.

Terms & Conditions

The above given rates are only valid till the current 209 PKR to 1 USD conversion rate.
Price
Any fluctuation in the dollar exchange rate will reflect on the pricing.
Payment
Advance Payment of 100% or as per standard payment terms.
Mode
All payments made must be paid in cash to HS Engineering’s representative. If any amount

required earlier then the specified time it can be requested. For any unforeseen holidays the

Price Quoted is based on current exchange rate to USD and with all

1. Load for testing at site. System Availability, Load Application & Maintenance as per
principal’s recommendation.
2. Cleaning of PV modules as per recommendation of manufacturer’s will be customer

4. Providing of shade free area will be customer’s responsibility.
5. Lightning arrestors are not quoted, if required it will be charged as per actual.

HS Engineering Corporation Scope:

HS Engineering Corporation will assist in Net Metering enablement process
(documentation).
HS Engineering Corporation will prepare the document for Net-Metering.

Customer’s Scope:
Customer will be only charged for Net Metering associated costs such as,
Meter Name change, Sanction load change, New meter charges.
Net Metering
Net-Metering demand notice payment (if HS Engineering Corporation is chosen to assist,
payment will be made to HS Engineering Corporation for further processing)
Bi-Directional meter cost and NEPRA Payorder of respective amount.

Note:
It will be applicable as per the laws of NEPRA and local DISCO. This is an additional service
for customer support. Timeline for net metering to be operational depends on the DISCO/
NEPRA approvals; it does not fall under HS Engineering Corporation scope of work.
