Interpreting Pictograph 1 COT

Christine went to the garden of Paseo de Santiago one afternoon and was amazed by the colorful insects she found. She wanted to find out how many of each kind of insect there were and how many insects there were in total. The story tells of Bella visiting her garden one morning and enjoying the beautiful flowers and fluttering butterflies as well as dragonflies landing on plants and grasshoppers jumping around. Bella realized her garden was truly a paradise.
