Proposal For AIA
Proposal For AIA
According to Philippine Statistics Authority (2022), there were roughly 4 million Filipinos that
were unemployed last year and around 5.8 million in 2019. Moreover, 5.9 million Filipinos were
underemployed in 2019 and 7.16 million in 2022. Mismatches or 40% of the employment in the
Philippines doesn’t match the skillsets of the employees to the position that they are assigned
to; they could be overqualified for it in regards with their academic credentials (Philippine
Institute for Development and Studies, 2022).
According to Abadilla (2021) of the Inquirer.net, 70% of the Filipinos were struggling with debt
making the Philippines as the “most stressed” nation when it comes to managing household
finances comparing with the rest of the Asia-Pacific (Apac) especially during this prolonged
COVID-19 pandemic.
In a summary report “Situation Analysis of Children in the Philippines” of UNICEF with the help
of National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), despite rapid economic growth in
recent years 31.4% of children live below poverty line and an estimated 2.85 million youths 5-
15 years are out of school (Sylwander, 2018).
According to Cullen (2023) of The Manila Times, 5.6 million Filipino families are living in dire
poverty, and around 33 million Filipinos are hoping for a brighter and better 2023.
Before the collection of these data has begun in 1986, poverty was already evident and still
prevalent today.
Problems:
1. Unsecure Future of Young Ones
2. Growing Debts of Filipinos
Solution
We will help parents not financially but psychologically on how to deal with their children. A
parents might be bombarded with many problems in their lives; time management, discipline,
and other soft skills that they missed to learn before during their times that has a big role in no
matter what situation they may be in life.
We will create a curriculum for parents for them to learn how to deal with their children
emotionally, mentally, and physically so they could raise their children reaching their full
potentials and never compromise their development. The curriculum also aims to teach parents
the right mindset in different situations and problems they may have in the future. Moreover,
they will also learn how to manage household finances that is practical and realistic to their
daily lives.
We will provide them some inspirational speakers and leaders in our community that will gonna
help manage them on their daily lives virtually. These sets of speakers and leaders who come
from different walks in life will gonna help them; understand themselves and their children;
giving them ideas what to do and what not to their children; answering why children act such
behaviors; help them plan their children’s future; help them plan their daily, weekly, monthly,
and yearly lives; teach what they need to provide their children; teach what they only need
every day; helping them to cope-up with their problems; letting them know some government
and non-government programs that their families are entitled to; enlighten them with the right
answer to their questions; helping them see the different opportunities to make money; making
them understand how the world today works; teaching what companies look for today.
This interaction that we are trying to create with people also opens an opportunity for us to
educate them on the value of life insurance and other kinds of insurances like health insurance.
We are building a community where all parents could have a sense of belongingness and talks
about their different problems which are common to all parents.
We will put them on a social media-like-Facebook where most of the blogs and posts are all
about child’s development, how to be a good parent, how to raise a child, different grants they
are entitled to, and so on.
In a similar way, we are trying to make a friendly community where all their children are.
Children will encounter some inspirational speaker to lead them and keep them on the right
path on their lives.
One of the community policies is anti-discriminatory. The community will promote a safe and
friendly environment.
