how to design the LAN at a secondary branch site and discuss how it will
interconnect through a WAN to the main Health Systems hospital site.

For the two LANs, one at the main hospital site and the second LAN at the
branch site you need to write about the following. You will also describe your
design of the WAN technologies connecting the two LANs.

1. Describe the WAN technology used and the bandwidth offered.


2. Describe the location of the router and switches.
3. Describe the routing protocol used on your LAN and on the WAN.
4. Provide reasoning for choosing the switching and routing, WAN transmission, and
topology.
5. Apply the concepts from the assessment's hands-on virtual labs
For the Health Systems, Inc. hospital you also are responsible for creating a
security and privacy plan. The purpose of your plan is to describe standards that
help ensure the privacy and integrity of the many different facets of a network.

Include the following in your 5–6-page security and privacy plan:

1. Create an enterprise-wide network security plan for the above mentioned


organization.
2. Describe the most common vulnerabilities, risks, and issues that your plan will
address.
3. Include policies that protect the hardware and physical aspects of the network.
4. Identify hardware areas that need to be secured.
5. Describe steps that will be taken to ensure the security of the operating systems
and network files.
6. Discuss measures that are necessary to protect the transfer of data for the remote
employees.
7. Apply the concepts from the assessment's hands-on virtual labs.
