Module 1
Title of Module: Introduction to UBCV2: University of Batangas Core Values
This UBCV2 course is designed for sophomores. The term "sophomore" is derived
from the Greek words sophia, which means "wisdom," and moro, which means "dull,"
resulting in the term "moron."
● A sophomore is a stage in our academic formation during which these two identities
will be completely separated.
● Success entails a plethora of wonderful, positive attributes. It involves personal
property: a fine home, vacations, travel, new experiences, financial security, and
providing the best possible opportunities for your children.
DEVELOPING THE POWER OF BELIEF
Here are some ways for acquiring and strengthening one's belief:
● Think success, not failure.
Thinking about success trains your mind to develop plans that result in success.
● Remind yourself on a regular basis that you are more capable than you believe you
are.
Successful people are just ordinary folks who have developed a sense of self-worth
and pride in their work.
● Believe Big.
Bear this in mind: big ideas and plans are often easier and certainly not more
difficult—than small ideas and plans.
Module 2
Title of Module: Self – Acceptance
LESSON 1: I am Special
HUMANS: GOD’S GREATEST MIRACLE
From this poem, we can add the idea of Og Mandino when he said that we are “God’s greatest
miracle.” From all of God's creations, man is placed at the top of the hierarchy
INEVITABLE REALITIES
The path to developing a more established personality with authentic character needs
continuous self-evaluation and assessment.
REALITY #1: A true normal person possesses abnormalities within.
Nature endows a normal person with both positive and negative characteristics. Everyone
has their own unique set of strengths and weaknesses.
REALITY #2: The world coerces everybody to forget the truth of possessing the dragon
within ourselves through highly socially constructed human standards.
As an individual seeking to establish his or her worth, a human being overlooks the natural
swaying of the pendulum of life from positive to negative and vice versa.
REALITY #3: Focusing much on achieving something digresses one’s attention towards
cosmopolitanism
Our unconscious mind is constantly racking up negative aspects of our personalities. Such
negativity will eventually manifest itself if we fail to accomplish our objective.
