Lifelong Learner. I presented my Personal Lifelong Learning Plan to Ma’am Marie Rose P. Ramos, our School Head, last March 28, 2022. She
guided me and give some insightful experience to improved myself as a teacher and as a lifelong learner.
REFLECTION PAPER
Lifelong learning is unending acquisition of knowledge. A process of unlearning, relearning and learning. Moreover, it is a never-ending journey of discovery,
acquisition and exploration of knowledge and putting it into practice to adapt and adjust to the demands of the 21 st century. I do embrace on what the Physicist and Nobel
Laureate awardee Albert Einstein quotation “Learning is not a product of schooling but a lifelong attempt to acquire it”.
Indeed, acquisition of learning takes us a lifetime. I am lifelong learner, that is continuously developing and upgrading my personal and professional aspect to adapt in
our changing world and help our learners address them as well. My role as a lifelong learner is to equipped and be literate with the new literacies or new areas of learning like
arts and creativity, ecololiteracy, ICT, media, financial, social/emotional, and globalization and multicultural. We are lifelong learners that can be learn everywhere and
anytime through our own experience and others experience, through the internet, formal and informal.
Crafting my PLLP (Personal Lifelong Learning Plan) gave me time to assess and evaluate myself on the 21 st century literacy skills needed. I was able to identify my
strength that I’ll continue to enhance and weaknesses that need to improved and develop. As I evaluate myself I’ am good at the following literacy Social/Emotional
Literacies and Ecoliteracy but I’m still willing to improved and update these competencies. I’ am developing at The Arts and Creativity, Cyber-Literacy/Digital Literacy,
Financial Literacy, Media Literacy and Globalization and Multicultural Literacy, so, I carefully plan and choose activities that will improve my skills in this literacy, putting
into consideration the time, the support coming from the administration, stakeholders and the resources needed to make the implementation of this plan successful.
I know that the implementation of this plan is not easy and it takes many challenges along the way but with my commitment, determination, perseverance, willingness
to learn, faith in God and by His grace all of these challenges and barriers can be solved. Moreover, with the support of the administration, internal and external stakeholders
this can be smoothly implemented and accomplished for the betterment and welfare of our learners.
I presented my plan to Ma’ am Marie Rose P. Ramos our school head and she guided me on how to direct my plan to objectives, the activities and help me identify
and correct gaps in generic skills and knowledge. She also encouraged me and increased my confidence that I can achieve all my activities and plans I included in my PLLP. I
also gain insights from her experience and see her as a senior role model because of her expertise.
With the help of Guro21 I’m able to update myself on the KSAV’s (Knowledge, Skills, Attitude and Values) and be equipped with the literacies of a 21 st century
teacher that will develop lifelong learners holistically to their highest potential. And having accomplished my Personal Lifelong Learning Plan this will serve as my learning
contract to continuously acquire knowledge and skills that can be used in my everyday life. I’m a lifelong learner teacher who is flexible and adaptable with the latest
developments and new technologies in the education system that will nurture learners with 21 st century skills who will address the society concerns today and in the future.
