1. Did you understand the poem? Why?
- The poetry, which is full of made-up words, made it difficult to understand, therefore it wasn't the easiest thing to read. 2. What do you think happened in the poem? - After searching for these creatures with his sword, the son eventually locates and kills the Jabberwocky. The father is happy when he returns with the creature's head, and they rejoice. Things seem to be getting back to normal when the first stanza is repeated. 3. What is the poem about? - The poem centers on a young child who receives a warning about a monster known as the Jabberwock. The boy ignores the advice and searches for the Jabberwock. He confronts the creature when he finds it, defeats it, and then returns home. 4. Does it make sense to you? or Would you say it's a nonsense poem? Why or Why not? - Although nonsensical poetry might be intimidating since it may not seem to make sense, I find it intriguing and believe that it allows you the opportunity to be more interactive with the poem and decide what you think it means. 5. Who's the speaker? To whom the speaker was talking to? - The speaker is an unknown narrator. He or she is narrating the poem's events in the third person while clarifying what is happening in each stanza. But there are some things about him that can be inferred. He refers to the young man as "my son" in the second stanza, indicating a close relationship. 6. What is a Jabberwock? What happened to the Jabberwock? - The Jabberwock is a terrifying creature that attacks with its teeth and claws, and a father in the poem warns his kid to stay away from it. After searching for these creatures with his sword, the son eventually locates and kills the Jabberwocky. 7. How was the Jabberwock killed? - To his father's great relief, the young hero confronts the demonic beast and uses his "vorpal blade" to kill and behead it. 8. What were your impression of the poem before reading? How about after reading? What caused the change? - My impressions of the poem before reading were that the poem was about some kind of creature. After reading the poem I came to understand the story of what the jabberwock is, it made me further expand my imagination about the creature. 9. You may write the gist of the poem below. ( your group's shared insights ). - The poem centers on a young child who receives a warning about a monster known as the Jabberwock. The boy disregards the advice and searches for the Jabberwock. He confronts the thing when he finds it, defeats it, and then returns home.
