SUBJECT: 35" National Congress of the Medical and Health Librarians

Association of the Philippine (MAHLAP) on March 8-10, 2023

The Medical and Health Librarians Association of the Philippine in cooperation with
the Nutrition Research Information Network (NUTRINET) are
inviting participants to the
35" National Congress with the theme “Recalibrate or Rebuild: Managing Libraries for
Flexible Learning Modalities” on March 8-10, 2023 at the Whitewoods Convention and
Leisure Hotel, Tagaytay City.

Attendance of concerned DOH personnel to the said activity shall be on Official

Time, and at no expense to the government except salaries.

All other transactions shall be in accordance with Department Order (DO) No. 2007-
0053, entitled “Guidelines on the Attendance to Conventions/Seminars/Conference and
Similar Human Resource Development Activities Outside of the Department Health,”; DO
No. 2014-0094, entitled ‘Guidelines on the Allowable Rates of Payment for Human Resource
of
Development Activities” and Department Order No. 2020-0664, entitled “Guidelines on
Attendance to Online Learning and Development Interventions and other Human Resource
related Activities in the Department of Health.”

The Medical and Health Librarians Association of the Philippines (MAHLAP) will hold its 35"
National Congress and Seminar-Workshop on the theme: “Recalibrate or Rebuild: Managing
Libraries for Flexible Learning Modalities” on March 8-10, 2023 in Whitewoods Convention and
Leisure Hotel, Sta. Rosa-Tagaytay Road, Silang Cavite.

The objectives of the congress are as follows:

e Recognize the expanding demands and challenges on managing library for flexible learning
modalities.
e Explore tools and best practices of libraries and librarians in response to expanding learning
demands.
« Formulate, as needed, library processes and services documentation based on existing
international standards and policies.

We

attend this National Congress. We have invited experts to share their knowledge
and expertise. This congress also applied for CPD points to be granted to
participants.

The Congress registration fee of P6,000/pax includes only three (3) AM snacks, three (3) lunches, two (2)
