Touch Sensor

The document is a project submission for a touch sensor created by four students - Himanshu Varma, Vinay Verma, Manish Kumar Sinha, and Manas Maheshwari - for their Basic Electrical and Electronics Engineering course under Dr. Shanky Saxena. The aim of the project was to create a touch sensor that can detect touch or proximity to replace mechanical buttons and switches. The touch sensor works like a switch by completing a circuit when touched, allowing current to flow. The components used included a BC547 transistor, resistors, an LED, a battery, wires, and a breadboard.

AIM OF PROJECT
Touch sensor enables a device or object to detect touch or near proximity, typically
by a human user or operator. Touch sensing input devices offer numerous
possibilities for novel interaction techniques and it reliably replaces mechanical
buttons and switches to eliminate mechanical wear and tear.
Working principal of TOUCH SENSOR
A touch sensor works like a switch, where when there's contact, touch, or
pressure on the surface of a touch sensor, it opens up an electrical circuit and
allows currents to flow through it.
COMPONENTS USED IN PROJECT
1. BC547 transistor
2. 10K ohm resistor
3. 220-ohm resistor
4. LED
5. 9 volt Battery
6. Connecting wires
7. Breadboard
