7 Active Listening

I. OBJECTIVES
A. LEARNING OBJECTIVE At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:

a. Describe Active Listening by asking the students' insights(cognitive)

b. Value the importance of active listening by identifying the different

active listening techniques

c. Perform a message relay by executing the different active listening

techniques (psychomotor)

A. TOPIC ACTIVE LISTENING
B. MATERIALS Visual images, video presentation, power point presentation, speaker,
marker, cartolina paper

III. PROCEDURE
A. PRELIMINARY ACTIVITIES
1. PRAYER Ask a student to lead the prayer.
2. GREETINGS Greet the students then ask them to pick up scattered papers, small
pieces of wrappers, and ask them to arrange their seats properly.
3. ENERGIZER Ask the students to perform a simple tiktok dance
4. CHECKING OF ATTENDANCE Ask the class secretary to check the attendance if there's anyone absent.
5. RECALL CLASSROOM RULES The teacher will present the classroom rules.
B. DEVELOPMENTAL ACTIVITTY
1. REVIEW Ask the students if they remember their previous lesson last meeting.
C. MOTIVATION
The teacher will present a video clip (2-3 minutes) for the class related
to the topic or new lesson.

Guided Questions:

- Are you a good listener? Or a bad listener?
- Have you got any techniques?
- For you, what is the most important techniques based from the video
clip you have watched?
