Cybersecurity And Cyber Laws In India And The Rest Of The

World: Majorly Highlighting Concerns of Obinna Nicodemus

Enweka Alias vs State Of Orissa

ABSTRACT:
Cyberspace refers to the virtual computer world and, more precisely, the
hypothetical setting in which communication through computer networks takes
place. Cyberspace is the linked Internet Ecosystem. When this cyberspace is
violated, it opens the door to cybercrime and even cyberterror, which targets
electronic systems to spread panic or fear and even create financial damage.
Cybersecurity refers to the methods used to safeguard computers, networks,
programmes, and data from unauthorised access or malicious assaults. In its
capacity as a UN organisation, the International Telecommunication Union
publishes the Global Cybersecurity Index (GSI), which ranks Denmark,
Australia, and the Republic of Korea among the top ten nations in terms of their
commitment to cyber security. India significantly dropped from position 23
Ranked from 47th place in the most recent GCI, 2018, which is a serious
problem that needs quick response. The area of the legal system that deals with
the Internet, cyberspace, and the corresponding legal concerns is known as
cyber law.
The majority of nations in the world have a wide range of laws that address
different facets of e-commerce and cybercrime. In India, the IT Act of 2000, as
amended in 2008, is referred to as "Cyber Law." Despite developments and the
government of India's various new efforts, regulations, and policies, there are
still significant hazards. With an emphasis on Jharkhand, which got recognition
when one of its cities, Jamtara, was dubbed the "Cyber Crime Capital of India,"
we aim to quickly analyse cyberattacks, cyberspace infiltration, and security
issues in both India and the rest of the world. The effectiveness of present
legislative provisions in preventing cybercrime as well as potential future
perspectives have been taken into consideration.
