Briefly describe what will happen DURING the SRT activity: Students will have learned about the civil
rights movement and it’s impact on social justice in Georgia. For this SRT activity, the teacher will introduce
the Quizlet activity, and give the students a list of either vocab or topics they should include in their creation.
Students will either use a mobile device or their school computer to create a free quizlet study set. They have
the freedom to word questions the way they want, and once they have completed it, they are to do the test
section and make a 100 on it. They can take the test as many times as they want.

Why or why not?
Students will be responsible for creating a content accurate study set. Students will use previous notes from
class to create their set, if they have questions or concerns about any of their questions or terms, they are
encouraged to ask their peers or bring their questions to the teacher. This is a learning experience and it’s
encouraged for students to facilitate discussion.
Describe what will happen AFTER the SRT activity?
After students complete their study set and take the test section, they are to pair up with a partner and
share. Partners should take the others study set and go through one of the activities.
How will the data be used? Quizlet allows a teacher to see the grades of tests taken in their “class”, so
data will be collected through the program application. The data will be used for a grade, most likely a
completion grade, but if students are doing well and are invested, maybe the quizlet test could be
taken for a quiz grade to help boost students averages if they need it. Data will also be used to identify
any students who may need extra help or attention on a topic. If many students are struggling, the
teacher knows to review the information more.
Describe your personal learning goal for this activity. My personal goal for this SRT lesson is to see if
students can individually take the information they have learned and create a study tool for it. It’s
important for students to be able to get information and continue learning about it, in different
formats. I would also love to see how students handle feedback from their teacher and peers.
Reflective Practice: I think it’s important to know your students, so if you know the students in your
class don’t work well on their own, maybe this could be a pair project from the beginning. It
ultimatley comes down to the needs of your students and how we, as teachers, can best facilitate their
learning.
