SecuriFire VirtualMic en

SecuriFire VirtualMIC is a program that allows operation of a SecuriLan system from a PC by replicating the interface of an MIC11/MIC711 keypad controller. It connects to the SecuriLan over the network using a username and password. Once connected, the VirtualMIC interface functions the same as the physical device. The SecuriFire Studio software must first project a VirtualMIC onto the SecuriLan configuration in order to enable the connection from the VirtualMIC program.

SecuriFire VirtualMIC

Purpose
SecuriFire VirtualMIC is a stand-alone program that enables you to operate a SecuriLan from your PC. It rep-
licates an MIC11 / MIC711.

The following topics are discussed in this section:

Design of the user interface
Establishing connection
Operation
Projection in SecuriFire Studio

Design of the user interface

The user interface of SecuriFire VirtualMIC corresponds to that of the real MIC11 / MIC711.

Above left is the toolbar with which connections can be established and closed:

ated, deleted and edited.

nection meterised and selected; only the SMS token must be entered.

Establishing connection

If an SCP has the corresponding projection, a new connection can be established via the toolbar in SecuriFire Vir-
tualMIC. “Edit connection” opens the overview of already created connections.

In this overview new connections can be created, and already created connections can be selected (highlighted in yel-
low). The icons with which the connections are managed and their functions are listed below.

with all of the necessary entry parameters.

Edits an already created connection. For this purpose the same entry

mask as for creating the connection appears.

Delete connection Deletes an already created connection.

Creates a link for the connection on the desktop. Actuating this link starts
Create desktop link the SecuriFire VirtualMIC and the corresponding connection is auto-
matically established.

Establishes the concerned connection. This procedure can also be started

Establish connection by selecting the connection (highlighted yellow) and then actuating the
icon on the toolbar (top left).

All connections have a unique number. If a connection is deleted, its number will no longer be re-assigned. The
unique number can be transmitted to the SecuriFire VirtualMIC as start parameter, whereby the concerned con-
nection is established automatically when starting (similar to actuating a created desktop link).

Creating and managing a connection is performed with the following entry mask:

The following icons are available for the required parameters:

Operation

When a connection has been successfully established, it is displayed in the SecuriFire VirtualMIC as it is in the
real MIC11.

The operation of the SecuriFire VirtualMIC corresponds to that of a real MIC. Clicking the buttons on the interface
actuates them. Numbers can be entered on the PC keyboard.

You can browse lists in the display with the SecuriWheel: The SecuriWheel can be turned by pressing the mouse but-
ton or by rotating the scroll wheel. Clicking the SecuriWheel selects an entry.

You can use the arrow keys to navigate up and down in the display of the VirtualMIC.

You can also navigate with the mouse scroll wheel when the cursor is anywhere on the VirtualMIC.

A menu item can be clicked directly in the display of the VirtualMIC.

Notice

The user name and password enable only the connection but do not switch to the authorisation level assigned to
the user. To access a different user level, you must change authorisation level as with the real MIC.

Projection in SecuriFire Studio

For the SecuriFire VirtualMIC to establish a connection to an SCP, it must be planned in SecuriFire Studio
accordingly: At least one of the four possible VirtualMICs has to be activated on the MCB15 (1). The activated Vir-
tualMICs then appear in the project tree (2).

A VirtualMIC is handled like a real MIC and must have a user assigned to it (3)

SecuriFire VirtualMic Help 5 /6

For this user to be able to establish a connection to the SCP with SecuriFire VirtualMIC, the user must have a
name (4) and the authorisation for Remote access must be switched on. In addition, a password has to be defined
for establishing the connection (5).

The projection described above must then be loaded to the system. Afterwards, a connection to this SCP can be
established with the SecuriFire VirtualMIC.
