Steps of PC to PC Networking.
A. Change Computer Name and Workgroup
1. Right Click on My Computer Then Properties
2. In Computer Name Tab Click Change
3. Change The Computer Name and Workgroup
4. Then Click ok and restart your computer.
B. Change the IP address of your computer.
1. Click My Computer and My Network Places
2. Click View Network Connections
3. Right Click in Local Area Connections then Properties
4. Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) then Properties
5. Click Use the following IP address:
6. IP address: 192.168.1.2
7. Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
8. Click ok and close
C. Check the connection of network using CMD
1. In CMD type IPCONFIG to check the IP address of your computer
2. Type ping 192.168.1.2 then press enter
3. The IP address that you enter will reply.
D. Windows Firewall
1. Click My Computer and My Network Places
2. Click Windows Firewall
3. Turn off the Windows Firewall
4. In Exception Tab, Check File and Printer Sharing
E. View Workgroup Computers
1. Click My Computer
2. Click My Network Places
3. Click View Workgroup Connections
4. Then you will the 2 icons of computer
F. File and Folder Sharing
1. Create New Folder on Desktop
2. Right Click, Properties
3. In Sharing Tab, check share this folder on network and allow network users to
change my files.
4. Click ok and apply.
5. Create a Text Document in folder that you share.
