0008 Fault Codes

To decode an error code 0008 (pedestal error) on a DAC97/TAC97 or DAC2202: 1. Enter the remote command value "S0000" and press enter to display the remote monitor window 2. The remote monitor window will display SABC@, where the 4th letter is the pedestal error code 3. Refer to the chart to decode the letter code and determine if the error is in azimuth (AZ), level (LV), cross-level (CL), reference (Ref), or a combination of these.

DAC97 / TAC97 To Read/Decode and Error 0008 (Pedestal Error) Code:

1. While at the Remote Command window key in: . , 8 , 3 , ENTER


2. Press MODE to go to Remote Monitor window. SABC@ will be displayed (S followed
by 3 letters and a symbol (checksum). The fourth letter (C above) is the pedestal error
letter. Ref is an AZ Reference, encoder or Home Flag error. AZ is Azimuth, LV is Level
(Elevation) and CL is Cross-Level. Decode the letter code using the chart below:

DAC2202 To Read/Decode an ACU Error Code 0008 (Pedestal Error):


Select the REMOTE COMMAND window on the ACU and;
1. Using the LEFT/RIGHT and UP/DOWN arrow keys set the Remote Command value to
""S0000" (the S must be upper case) and press ENTER.
2. Press ENTER key once more to display the REMOTE MONITOR window. SABC@ will
be displayed (S followed by 3 letters and a symbol (checksum). The fourth letter (C
above) is the pedestal error letter. Ref is an AZ Reference, encoder or Home Flag error.
AZ is Azimuth, LV is Level (Elevation) and CL is Cross-Level. Decode the letter code
using the chart below
