How To Pray Effectively Pt 2

So we continue from where we stopped last week

What Prayer Isn't:

1. Prayer isn't repetition of words. Some feel if they repeat words long enough,
then God will answer from heaven. But Jesus Christ clearly warns "And when you
pray, do not use vain repetitions as the unbelievers do. For they think that they
will be heard for their many words. Therefore do not be like them. For your
Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him ".....Matt 6:7-8

2. Prayer isn't crying: Some people just get emotional when praying. They pray to
God based on how they are feeling and not from the Word or the Spirit. They will
just keep crying and getting emotional in hope that God will respond to their tears
but God/ the Universe don't respond to tears but to the Word!

3. Prayer isn't recitation: Some people just recite written down words as prayers.
I can tell you, it's not effective

To pray effectively, follow this process:

1. Go to God with HIS words:

Take with you words, and return to the Lord....Hosea 14:2


Yes, don't go to God in prayer with your own words, rather search the scripture
out and go to him with Words found in the Bible concerning your unique situation

2. When you do this, He(God) will now in return send you words to use as your
substance:

"Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their
distress; he sent forth is word, and healed them, and delivered them from
destruction....Ps 107:19-20

3. When he sends you His words which mostly comes from reading the Bible or
listening to an anointed message, your responsibility now is to stand on that
sent Word in faith. Because the Sent Word is now your substance(assurance), the
evidence (conviction) of the things you hoped for:

Now Faith is the Substance (assurance) of things hoped for, the evidence
(conviction) of things not seen. For by it (Faith) the elders obtained a good
testimony....Heb 11:1-2

When you learn to pray this way, which involves:

1. Going to God with His Words


2. Being watchful to receive Words from Him in return
3. And standing on the received word in Faith while praying

10 out of 10times, you will get answers to your prayers hence end up with a good
testimony like the Elders.
This process I just shared with you is within the scope of Praying In the Word

There is also a place of Praying in the Spirit, which I will share with you next week
