BISU Preliminary Pages Thesis Format

This undergraduate thesis examines the impact of smartphone use on students' attitudes toward studying. A survey was conducted of 246 students at Bohol Island State University's College of Teacher Education during the 2021-2022 school year. The study found that students' use of Facebook, Messenger, and Gmail was very high. It concluded that there is a relationship between increased smartphone use and negative attitudes toward studying among students.

ABSTRACT

The main purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the
use of smartphones and the attitudes towards studying of the CTE students of
Bohol Island State University- Candijay Campus during the first semester of the
school year 2021-2022. The study mainly used a descriptive-correlation design.
There was a total of two hundred forty-six (246) CTE students participated in the
study. The questionnaire used to gather data was composed of three (3) sections
namely: students' profiles, students' usage of smartphones, and students’
attitudes towards studying. Student's use of Facebook, Messenger, and Gmail is
