Course Title Computing Fundamentals

Course Code ITE 6101

Course Unit 3

Pre/Co-requisites None

This course provides an overview of the computing industry and


computing profession, including research and applications in the
different fields; an appreciation of computing in the different fields
such us Biology, Sociology, Environment and Gaming; an
Course Description
understanding of ACM requirements; an appreciation of the history
of computing; and knowledge of the key components of the
computer systems (organization and architecture), malware,
computer security, internet and internet protocols, HTML4/5, CSS.

 Identify and analyze computer hardware, software, and network components.


 Use systems development, word-processing, spreadsheet, and presentation
