    1.What is the global impact of global flows on the global South?

    For me a fundamental transformation has taken place in the global economy cause
    by the impressive economic growth of developing countries like India, China, Brazil and
    South Africa. The economic center of gravity is stopped moving toward for developing south.
    It is a remarkable development in cooperation between developing countries, characterize
    South-south collaboration, and must be understood and known as part of this large
    contribution in the Global flow.
    2.Examine the gap between rural and urban areas across the globe. How is that gap affected
    by globalization?
    Base on my positive opinion, the gap between rural and urban areas across the globe
    has big differences in globalization. For the rural areas the globalization can be affected in
    different ways such as people having more technologies and easy to live. They work and pay
    for their needs they can get whatever they want and easily adopted the new environment and
    changes while the Urban areas it’s difficult for them to adopt the changes such as having a
    good work and having a new and easy technologies because of lack of knowledge and low-
    class education. The gap affects the both areas in a positive and negative way.
    3.What do you think is the impact of urbanization and the rise of global city on the
    agricultural sector?
    First of all, lets defined Urbanization. Urbanization is process which there is an
    increase number of people living and working in a city or metropolitan area. Urbanization has
    a negative impact on our agricultural sector because the expansion of households it is a reason
    to reduce the areas where we can get some resources like food. The facts that our urban areas
    were destroyed and our environment was ruined.
    4.In the case of the Philippines, how much do you think are we involved in the modern world-
    system? What do you think are the advantages and disadvantages of being a part of such?
    I think we Filipinos has easily adopted the modern world-system. We can live in this
    system. As a student and youth of Filipinos I can say that the modern world-system has might
    a big impact to us. For the advantage we easily learned new thing, we can live in an easy way.
    For the education we can access the knowledge that we want we can understand everything
    through technologies, we can travel easy because of the modern transportation, but for the
    disadvantage we are having a big problem in our environment such as polluted air because of
    the machines, factories and even vehicles. And the other things are we are having an
    increasing population that’s why we go for the urbanization we killed and destroyed the forest
    to make and become households. the disadvantage of being part of modern world-system we
    forgot the first thing that we have which is the environment that source of our living.
    5.How can we "upgrade" our economy given the strength of the global economy, especially
    the giant economies like the United States and Japan?

    We can upgrade our economy if the government or other members of our
    government used the money in a good or use it with the better purpose. We can contribute
    some business that can ca help to increase our economy, especially in the giant economies like
    the United States and Japan we can learn something for them that may help to improve our
    strategies and be knowledgeable enough to develop our country and also it may help to
    increase or upgrade our economy by promote economic growth through innovation, strategic
    immigration reform, remove unnecessary and unclear laws and etc.
    6.How do we examine economic globalization considering our colonial history?
    Globalization in consideration of colonial history by learning and understanding the
    effect of colonization. This is the proof in the general increase in commodity trade and labor
    migration. Even though a lot of different countries came to us we should be proud and make
    our culture prioritize to increase our economic and don’t forget that each of every Filipino in
    the Philippines can contribute even a small thing that may help to increase and to develop our
    economy.
