CONCEPT NOTES
Chapter I consists of the overview discussion of the problem by citing some phrases and sentences from published
materials relevant to the study. This gives the reader general idea and impression as well as motivation of the study. Some
researchers integrate related studies, related literatures and legal bases in this Chapter.
After thorough presentation of the background of the study, there are seven (7) subtopics in this Chapter which are as
follows:
1. Statement of the problem
2. Hypotheses
3. Theoretical/Conceptual Framework
4. Significance of the Study
5. Scope and Limitation of the Study
6. Definition of Key Terms
7. General Organization and Coverage of the Study.
The main problem signifies your main topic. The sub-problems are the test you will need to do which clarifies the needed data to
be measured. Hence, in the example, the acceptability of the quality, protein and calcium content are the Dependent Variable
and the burger patty from Milkfish, Goatfish and Siganid Offal are the independent variables.

Sub-problem
- The problem is that Gotu kola (Cantella asiatica) as a herbal plant that is unfamiliar to a few people especially
in the medical fields.
- The problem is that people are unknown to the combination of Calamansi (Citrofortunella microcarpa) and
Guto Kola (Cantella asiatica) as medicine for skin rashes and skin fungal infections.
- The problem is that there no experimental study on the combination of Calamansi and Gotu Kola extract that
could help those who are having skin rashes and skin fungal infections.
- The problem is that people only view Calamansi (Citrofortunella microcarpa) for food, cosmetics and for cough
remedy.
