INTRODUCTION
Matter can be roughly divided into three main categories namely gases, liquids and solids. In this
classification scheme, the rare field gases are a simplified gas states commonly known as “perfect’’ or
‘’ideal’’ gases, which obey same basic limiting laws.
In a modern picture of the gaseous states a gas confined at law pressure has molecules that are so far
apart that they exhibit only slight attraction to each other permitting the gas to expands and completely
fill a vessel of any size on shape panih pool chak and wittaya kanchanapusakit,2014. Relevant historical
aspects emceeing ideal gases were briefly reviewed to provide a condensed resource for the
undergraduate student of chemistry. The importance of the barometer and concept of atmospheric
pressure were reviewed and discussed. (Leonardo M. Dasilva, 2015).
Boyle’s law states that the gas pressure is inversely proportional to the gas volume at constant
temperature. This law follows the ideal gas law which summarizes a relationship between pressure,
volume, temperature and the number of moles of the gas(Zumdahi and Zumdahi 2014). The concept of
boyle’s law is usually taught in high school physics and chemistry classes and experimental verification of
the law is an essential part of the lessons (J. chem. Educ. 2019). This experimental studies researcher
aims to teach boyle’s law and gas law properties which usually apply when experimenting the
relationship of volume, temperature, pressure and number of moles.
b. Date collection
this research study used experiment approach. And the methods the researchers used is observation in
collecting data. This was observed through the following procedures.
a. First trial, first step was gather materials together, second step carefully poor ½ cup of the hot
water into the two bottle third step after two minutes have passed screw the lid back on the
bottle. Make sure that it is on tight. Fourth step lay the bottle on its side in the basin full of ice
cubes, it needs to hold it in place and the last step was slowly pour the plastic bag of hot water
into the bottle.
b. Second trial the first step was gather materials together and begin by filling, second step
carefully pour ½ cup of the hot water into the first bottle., and take a moment to make more
observation.
Researcher question
The main objective of this study was to determine the possible outcome and observations to our
finished experiment which is we ought to observe what happened to the bottle. Specially, the study
ought to answer the following questions;
Research question
1. How does temperature affect the volume of the bottle?
2. What is the relationship of the temperature to the volume of the bottle?
3. How important is the knowledge in gas laws in our daily lives?

Matter can be roughly divided into three main categories namely gases, liquids, and solids. In this
classification scheme, the rarefied gases are simplified gas state, commonly known as “perfect” or
“ideal” gases. Which obey some basic limiting laws (Panih Poolchak and Wittaya Kanchanapusakit, 2014)
According to the kinetic-molecular theory of gas, the volume of gas particles is negligible and any
attractive forces between particles can be ignored. When these simplifying assumptions hold true, a
series of simple empirical relationships called the gas laws, which relate pressure, volume, amount, and
temperature, can also be mathematically derived. The combine gas law expresses the relationship
between the pressure, volume, and absolute temperature pf a fixed amount of gas.
Many studies of student understanding of gasses focused on the ideal gas that would relate to different
experiments since ideal gas is a standard topic in courses in physics and chemistry at the introductory
university level. To reveal students conceptual understanding of gas laws this study focused on the
understanding and applications of scientific concepts in practical situations instead of the use
mathematical and theoretical situations.
In this study, a unit about gas properties ang gas law was modified to include inquiry-based teaching
methods or how these changes affected students results.
A combination of boyle’s law with the well-known equation for determining the pressure produced by a
column of stationary fluid was used to obtain a graphical method for determining atmospheric pressure
under isothermal conditions in the laboratory (Da silva, 2016).
Conducting simple experiments requires simple materials that can be found even in your household and
locality. As the researcher conduct this experiment, they got the materials like; name from hardware
store may be found near your area other materials like empty bottle, plastic bag may be found inside the
trashcan especially at the recyclable bin. While ice cubes and not water can be improved in at your
home.
Discussion of results/ recommendations
1. The figure 1 shows the temperature inside the bottle and it undergoes condensation process
because of the temperature stuck inside and it cause the bottle to deforms due to increasing
pressure.
2. The figure 2 shows the observed outcome of the bottle and ice cubes when researchers put the
ice cubes inside and observe physical changes. Where in the volume of fixed quantity of a gas is
directly proportional to the absolute temperature and constant pressure which address Charles
law of gases and it more solidified.
3. On the hand temperature affects the volume of the bottle as temperature increases, volume
increases when pressure is held constant. Heating a gas increases the kinetic energy of the
particles, causing the gas to expand. That was a direct relationship of volume and temperature
of gas. Pertaining to our daily lives gas laws are important because they can be used to
determine the parameters of a mass od gas using theoretical means.
4. The research in this paper focused on determining the physical changes of the bottle applied
boyles and Charles law of gases. This are the research articles that helps you to expand your
knowledge.

ABSTRACT
In this paper the researchers conducted an experiment about the physical changes in
the bottle based on temperature of water trapped inside the bottle. The researcher used water
with different temperature one with high temperature and one has low, it was poured inside
the bottle and locked inside by the cover of the bottle. The researcher noticed some changes
like bottle deformation. The experiment proves that as the temperature increases the pressure
increase and use versa. This study used experimental approach to gather the needed data.
