Product Overview
1 What is BIMIT? This BIM Partnership is focused on delivering the Integrated Projects BIM Product at
scale for space types of all kinds using Matterport point clouds. The BIM Product is LOD
200 and is standardized with specifications clearly outlining the standard space type,
scope, tiers, detail, processing times, final deliverables, quality control checks, and rates.

2 What is BIMIT BIMIT Industrial is a highly specialized product that accurately depicts the mechanical,
Industrial? electrical, piping, and equipment within an industrial space.

The BIM Industrial Product is LOD 200 and is standardized with specifications clearly
outlining the standard space type, scope, tiers, detail, processing times, final
deliverables, quality control checks, and rates. It’s a simple, standardized, and
cost-effective solution to the complex engineering work required to satisfy the
specialized engineering requirements of a mechanical room or floor.

3 Who is BIMIT for? With a click of the button, Users can fully digitize any space in the world, going from a
3D scan to a building information model (BIM).

4 Who is BIMIT Allows engineers to document the general sizing, elevations, locations, configurations of
Industrial for? mechanical equipment and piping.

5 What files does BIMIT Users can use their Integrated Projects BIM Product to perform the following functions in
include? their BIM/CAD:
● Verify
● Visualize
● Quantify
● Design

6 What does the The BIM Product digitally recreates the existing conditions of any space’s visible and
product include? accessible in Revit format:
● Interior architecture (required)
● Furniture and equipment
● Mechanical and piping systems

7 How is this product The Integrated Projects BIM Product is created from a User’s initial 3D scan using a
created? Matterport Pro 2 or Leica BLK360. Using the point cloud generated from the 3D scan,
we create a building information model (BIM) and deliver it back to the User.

8 What format(s) is the The final deliverables of the BIM Product are delivered in RVT/CAD/RCS/JPG format. See
product? “Final Deliverables” for a full breakdown.

9 How accurate is the The Integrated Projects BIMIT product depends on the accuracy of the pointcloud
product? generated from the Matterport Pro 2, the Leica BLK360, or any other camera used to
create and accurately align the pointcloud. The BIM will mirror the accuracy of the
pointcloud. See “Level-of-Development” section for full descriptions.

product not do? However, there should be no claims that this product is construction-grade given the
limitations on point cloud registration and its accuracy from the Matterport Pro2 or Leica
BLK360. See “Product Limitations” for a full description.

Additionally, the Scan-to-BIM product does not in any way eliminate or substitutes the
industry-standard practice of field verification from licensed design, engineering, and
construction professionals.

12 Who is the product Organizations with multi-site real estate portfolios. With many locations under
most useful for? management, and aspirations to view and standardize all of them, the Scan-to-BIM
product enables various departments within an organization use the BIM/CAD in more
than one way:
● Acquisitions: verify dimensions and square footages for new lease terms, at
scale.
● Design/Engineering: create new plans on accurate architectural backgrounds.
● Facilities/Operations: quickly view and verify existing conditions of spaces
across their portfolio.
● Estimating/Procurement: Quantify your material, furniture and spatial
dimensions, accurately.
● Construction Management: Use an accurate BIM to verify site dimensions and
quantities.
● Sales/Marketing: Use BIM to visualize floor plans in an infinite amount of views.

13 What is a User's best Users currently:

Product Level-of-Development (Page 1 of 4)

BIMIT is 3D modeled at a level-of-development (LOD) 200. By this, we mean:

Definitions on this page taken from

https://bim-international.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/LOD-Specification-2015.pdf
BIMForum, Level of Development Specification, 2015

“Level of Development vs. Level of Detail

LOD is sometimes interpreted as Level of Detail rather than Level of Development. This Specification uses the
concept of Level of Development. There are important differences. Level of Detail is essentially how much detail is
included in the model element. Level of Development is the degree to which the element’s geometry and attached
information has been thought through – the degree to which project team members may rely on the information
when using the model. In essence, Level of Detail can be thought of as input to the element, while Level of
Development is reliable output.”

LOD 200: Model Elements are graphically represented within the Model as a generic system, object, or
assembly with approximate quantities, size, shape, location, and orientation. Non-graphic information may also
be attached to the Model Element. At this LOD, elements are generic placeholders using default Revit Families.
They may be recognizable as the components they represent, or they may be volumes for space reservation. Any
information derived from LOD 200 elements must be considered approximate. Revision comments from the IP
team will supersede the standard LOD table on a case-by-case basis.

Product Qualification
The Integrated Projects BIMIT is checked by the IP team before sending to a BIM Partner to begin an Order. However, we do expect BIM
Partners to notify IP if there are potential issues with the point cloud that would not allow for the accurate creation of the BIM:

Product Production Software

The Integrated Projects team requests all BIM Partners use a similar data environment to create, share, message, and securely store project
information:

Integrated Projects
Who We Are Integrated Projects is a building intelligence company leading the digital transformation of the
built environment. By integrating scan-to-BIM services together with location data analytics, we
empower enterprise clients to deliver smarter, quicker, and more cost-effective existing
conditions information across their real estate portfolios.

The Root Problems 1. Building information is inaccurate, outdated, or non-existent for most buildings around
We’re Solving For the world.
2. Too many traditional consultants--like architects, engineers, surveyors, and
designers--require an owner to pay too much money and spend too much time
coordinating basic existing conditions information.
3. Much of the existing building information (in the form of photos, PDFs, CAD, etc)
remain in the possession of the consultants, not the owner. Therefore, owners don’t
gain the benefits of a digitized real estate portfolio.

The Solution Scan and model buildings to verify and document accurate building information.

Our Mission Digitally transform buildings across the world.

Our Values ● Partnerships, not projects.

● Integrated systems, not one-off solutions
● Simplify, not complicate.
● Refine, not start over.
● Get it right, quickly and consistently.

What We Do We’re working with BIM Partners all over the world to perform Scan-to-BIM services focused on
(3) existing condition scopes:
1. Interior Architecture
2. Furniture & Equipment
3. Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing.

Our Shared Mission The purpose of a BIM Partner Plan is to work with specialized experts to grow the world’s largest
network of verified building information. By definition, this means our partnership seeks to
accomplish the following:

1. BIM in hours, not weeks or months

2. BIM at fixed, low costs compared to traditional as-built modeling services
3. BIM as an all-in-one solution: architecture, furniture, and MEP
4. BIM as an inventory tracker: quantify space and equipment
5. BIM LOD 200 accurately dimensioned based on the point cloud

What We’re Looking For

The Integrated Projects team is partnering with the

brightest, most talented BIM professionals across the
world. Why?

Together, we’re working to lead the digital

transformation of real estate by helping Owners and
Operators address a fundamental root problem:
accurate building information.

By growing the most talented network of reality

capture and BIM specialists, we’re focused on
equipping clients with the right digital assets to
positively change how an organization designs, builds,
operates, quantifies, and markets their own spaces.
