What is Email?

Basics of Email • Email stands for electronic mail.


• It is a way of sending messages and files electronically
from one computer or device to another.
• It is a widely used method of communication that allows
individuals, businesses, and organizations to exchange
information quickly and easily.
• With email, you can send and receive messages, as well
as attach files such as documents, pictures, and videos,
from any device with an internet connection.

Enter the exact email address of
your recipient. For multiple
receipts, separate each address
with a comma.

CC:
Carbon Copy – Sends copy of an
email to the recipients.

BCC:
Blind Carbon Copy – recipients
in the "To“ and “CC” field can
see the email addresses of all
other recipients, while
recipients in the "BCC" field
cannot.

Basics of Email SMTP (Server Mail Transfer Protocol)


• SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) is a protocol for sending email
messages between servers.
• Most email systems that send mail over the Internet use SMTP to send
messages from one server to another, and to deliver messages to local
mail clients like Microsoft Outlook or Apple Mail.
