placed either after the main verb or
after the object.
Ex: .The girl dances gracefully.

The verb dances was modified or
described by the adverb gracefully. It
tells how the action is being done.

Adverb of time tells when the


action/verb is being done. It is usually
placed at the end of the sentence.

Ex: We always play volleyball in


summer.

Adverb of place tells where the action


happened. It is usually placed after
the main verb or after the clause that
they modify. They do not modify
adjectives or other adverbs.
Ex: The corn plants are growing in the
field.
