    EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 1


    Series 2020

    REORGANIZTION OF BARANGAY NUTRITION COMMITTEE (BNC)

    WHEREAS, Presidential Decree No. 491 otherwise known as the Nutrition Act of
    the Philippines mandates that every Filipino citizen are made aware
    on the importance of nutrition;

    WHEREAS, a society of well-nourished populace is always attributed to a


    productive, and healthy community, a foundation of empowered and
    active Republic;

    WHEAREAS, Section 17 of RA 7160 otherwise known as the Local Government


    Code of mandates every LGU to provide efficient and effective basic
    and social welfare services among others health and nutrition;

    NOW,THEREFORE,I MARICRIS S. SORIA,Punong Barangay of Pulanglupa,by


    Virtue of powers vested in me by law, do21 hereby order the
    reorganization of the barangay nutrition committee.

    Section 1. Composition. —The Barangay Nutrition Committee shall be


    composed of the following:

    Chairman: Maricris S. Soria----------------Punong Barangay


    Members: Helen S. Gulmayo--------------Barangay Kagawad
    Deding T. Andong--------------Barangay Midwife
    Ariel A. Galaraga----------------SK Chairman
    Armando C. Picoy---------------School principal
    Rafael Capilastique-------------PTA president
    Mercedes G. Gimena-----------BNS
    Elsie P. Omambat---------------Barangay Health Worker
    Julian O. Gaquing----------------Head Religious Organization
    Albino B. Gimena Jr.------------BPAT Chairman
    Micmic N. Dagsan---------------Business sector
    Mila T. Tabieros------------------4ps Parent leader
    Domingo T. Tanallon------------Senior Citizen Chairman

    Section 2. Functions.The Barangay Nutrition Committee shall perform the following.

    a.) Formulate a Barangay Nutrition Action Program;


    b.) Coordinate the Nutrition activities of the Barangay;
    c.) Organized the Barangay Network;
    d.) Prepare a spot map of the Barangay;
    e.) Conduct Operation Timbang(OPT)under the supervision of the rural health unit;
    f.) Organized specific groups to implement nutrition intervention activities and assess progress;
    and

    pSECTION 3. This order shall take effect immediately.

    Done this 12th day of March 2020 at Barangay Pulanglupa,Mlang,Cotabato.
