Competency/Objectives Specific Objectives:
 Identify the 4Ms of operations;
 Describe the 4 Ms (Manpower, Method, Machine, Materials) of
operations in relation to the business opportunity;
 Give the importance of 4 Ms in business operation; and

The learning objectives comprised of cognitive domain (Bloom, 1956 and Anderson & Krathwohl, 2001),
affective domain (Krathwohl, 1965), and psychomotor domain (Dave, 1975). The objectives were also in
line with a Constructivism theory which holds that knowledge is best gained through a process of
reflection and active construction in the mind (Mascolo & Fischer, 2005).

II. PROCEDURES The lesson plan follows 4As teaching strategy which is based on Kolb’s Experiential
Learning Theory (1984).

1. Preliminaries The activity in this section will evoke or draw out prior concepts of us
experiences from the students

are seated in front.

o Clear your minds and thoughts to be able to concentrate on the discussion.
o Reading of the House Rules (1-5)
The teacher will ask the students about the house rules:
1. Raise your hands if you want to answer
2. Listen and Participate in every activity during the entire lesson
3. Be polite to your teacher and classmates at all times
4. Wear your mask at all times properly
5. Always observed 1-meter social distancing

5. Established safe and secure learning environments to enhance learning through the
consistent implementation of policies, guidelines and procedures.

MOV- Setting of class standards policies before the activities to ensure learners’
safety. Students will also be observed on how they follow the set of rules and
protocols during the activity.

Review of the previous lesson

The teacher will ask questions about the previous lesson and students will
give a brief insight to check their knowledge.

o What is a product?
o Are there any necessary features that you missed out?

4. Used effective verbal and non-verbal classroom communication strategies to


support learner understanding, participation, engagement and achievement

[“Students’ prior knowledge can help or hinder learning”, one of the principles discussed
by Ambrose et al. (2010) in their book. This is also in line with Constructivism (mainly by
Jean Piaget) which proposed that individuals construct new knowledge in relation to past
experiences.]

MOV -- Giving of pre-assessment to learners is an effective verbal and non-verbal


classroom communication strategies to support learner understanding, participation,
engagement and achievement
2. Establishing a purpose READING OF THE SPECIFIC LEARNING OBJECTIVES
for the lesson The teacher let the students read the objectives so that the students will be able
to track the accomplishment of the different objectives as the lesson is taught.

At the end of the session, the learners are expected to:


 Identify the 4Ms of operations.
 Describe the 4 Ms (Manpower, Method, Machine, Materials) of
operations in relation to the business opportunity.
 Give the importance of 4 Ms in business operation; and

Directions: Divide the class into 3 groups. Search for the ten (10) words

the word on the box and write it before the clue. The one who finish with a

discuss within the group

This is based on Howard Gardner’s Multiple Intelligence Theory (1983)

production, manufacturing equipment to use and required skills to do work.

MATERIALS

-Materials simply refers to the raw materials needed in the production or manufacturing of a
product.
-talks about raw materials, necessary in the production of a product. Materials mainly formpart of
the finished product. Just in case the resources are below standard, the finished product will be
of unsatisfactory as well.
-the entrepreneur may consider cost, quality, availability, credibility of suppliers and waste that
the raw material may produce.

MACHINES

-are also important in the operations of the business. It refers to the manufacturing equipment
used in the production of goods or delivery of services.
-discusses about manufacturing equipment used in the production of goods or delivery of
services.
-in the process of selecting the type of equipment to purchase, the entrepreneur may consider
types of products to be produced, production system to be adopted, cost of the equipment,
capacity of the equipment, availability of spare parts in the local market, efficiency of the
equipment and the skills required in running the equipment.
