How will this lesson be implemented? Check all that apply.

X Teacher-directed: There is no student voice and choice in the activities. Students are guided by the
teacher's direction and expectations.

will choose one historical figure to use for their audio book. The student goals for their book

actively involved in authentic tasks and contexts?

Time-on-task with continued focus on the learning goal

The teacher will provide a laptop cart and assign one to each student. While the students are
working on their own audio book, there will be a timer with increments of 25 minutes on the
board for them to see how much time is remaining.

Universal Design for Learning (UDL):

This lesson activity involves technology by using PowerPoint to create an audio book about a
historical figure they choose to research. PowerPoint can support all students by providing
different languages and accommodating for the diverse learning styles, such as audio, visual,
and hands-on. PowerPoint will enhance the learning experience for the students by keeping
them engaged with the technology and motivating them to research and be creative with
their PowerPoint audio books.

Reflecting on enhanced learning:

My PowerPoint example will impact the student learning because it will have Spanish
subtitles to accommodate those who don’t understand English as well, and it will cater to the
different learning styles with the audio, visual, and hands-on activity. I think this activity will
impact the students learning by keeping them engaged with the research of their historical
person and motivate them to be creative with their audio books. I am looking forward to
implementing PowerPoint with my students and viewing their audio books about the
historical person they choose to research about.
