- In your opinion, what is a problem?

A problem is a situation that needs to be solved or clarified.

- How do you describe a problem?

it can be a conflict, issue or situation. it can be with yourself or with several other people.

- Why do you think people have “problems”?

yes, we all have different issues to resolve in life, some more serious than others.

- What kind of problems do you think exist in a company?

Organizational climate and customer service are the most common problems in a company.

3.1.Listening Practice: the 5 why’s technique

Look for the definition of the following words:

Problem: A problem is an issue or question to be solved or clarified, a contradiction or conflict


between what is and what ought to be, a difficulty or inconvenience to the achievement of an end or
an annoyance, a nuisance or a worry.

Analysis: means a thorough and detailed examination of a matter to ascertain its nature,
characteristics, status and the factors involved.

Root:

introduced into the soil or other bodies, absorbs from them or from them the materials necessary
for the growth and development of the plant and serves as a support for it.

Are a series of planned actions to help make decisions and achieve the best possible results.

Defining the problem is always necessary, knowing what we are facing. Trial and error is a good
strategy or you can use probabilities.

● What is the main objective of the 5 whys technique?

The objective of the 5 Whys methodology is to identify and determine the root cause of a specific
problem. It is also usually quite effective and fast in determining the root cause of low to moderate
criticality damage.
● What steps do you have to follow to do a 5 why’s analysis?

1. Establish what is happening.

2. Define "why" a particular situation is happening.

3. Determine possible reasons for the cause of a particular situation.

4. Continues to ask questions.

5. Pose the most appropriate solutions.

yes, for most of the problems, it is appropriate to use this methodology.
