Course Description/Objectives/Goals:
The Internet of things comprises of a network of tiny devices that bring intelligence into many
domains. The objective of this course is to develop the knowledge of connecting billions of
such devices together. The students will learn the communication standards and technologies
for enabling communication between these devices to realize interesting applications in the
domains of smart city, healthcare, agriculture, etc.

Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs):


1. Understand the basic components and capabilities of an IoT device.
2. Learn the IoT communication standards, architectures, and technologies.
3. Explore the use of existing technologies to realize interesting IoT applications.
