As UAAL hour this week, investigate about how to write the type of writing you chose
using two different resources (links and books). Make sure you at least find the
information listed in the questionnaire below. Write helpful notes on the back of the
page that will provide enough information for your team to answer the exercises
and/or write an example of their own. You also need to print an example of it. DO NOT
bring the information printed ONLY the example.
By the time you get to the classroom you should have the answers to the questions
already written down at the back of this sheet or your corresponding task answered.
In page 3 you will find suggested links to search for the information and at UAAL there
will be a section with suggested books.

What is an essay?
Essays are a short piece of writing representing one’s side of the argument or one’s
experiences, stories, even points of view, and they are very personalized.
How to do an essay?
1. Develop a topic by understanding the assignment requirements, exploring
background information, and forming a working thesis
2. Conduct research using scholarly sources, taking critical notes, and reading closely
3. Create a thesis statement and outline of arguments that will form the essay
4. Integrate research evidence with properly formatted citations and references
5. Correct and revise your thesis, outline, and writing for grammatical errors and
common structural and stylistic mistakes

presents an argument in the form of a thesis statement

Last Friday I was waiting at home for a product I bought from your online
store, specifically some white Nike tennis shoes. Unfortunately, they arrived
ripped at the top and the sole was stained with paint. For this reason, I
decided to call Amazon customer service to help me solve this problem,
however the agent Charles, who was the person who attended me, showed a
rude attitude towards me since he did not want to help me to return these
tennis shoes instead he said that I was a complete ignorant and that I had no
reason to interrupt his break time to ask for help for something so silly.
I request your help to resolve this problem as soon as possible and, in turn, to
inform you about the treatment I received from one of your employees.
Sincerely,
Steven Moran
STEP 6:
