    From Passion to Profession

    (1) Mustapha El Fekak, famous for


    ‘Swinga’, was born in Casablanca,
    Morocco. He graduated from high school
    without a clear vision of what studies he
    should pursue. Therefore, he decided to
    immerse himself in his passion : making
    videos. As time passed by, he realised
    that he was going on the wrong track.
    That’s why he thought that he should get a diploma to feel
    confident in a job interview.
    (2) Mustapha started studying computer networking in daytime
    as well as going to the circus in
    the evening and learning how to
    edit videos at night. At the age of
    25, he enrolled in the National
    School of Circus in Salé and
    studied there for three years. In
    the meantime, he was still making videos that engrossed him.
    Along with his studies, Mustapha created web series called
    ‘Hormoz’ on youtube which went viral in 2012. Everybody saw
    it.
    (3) In 2013, Mustapha worked with Abdelah Abujad, a
    Moroccan producer on educational
    videos that showed positive results.
    Thanks to this experience, he
    started to excel in making videos,
    short films and series on Youtube.
    ‘Aji Tafham’ is a good example that
    attracted the attention of many Internet users and companies.
    (4) In 2014, Mustapha won ‘the Creations of the Year’ Award in
    the Maroc Web Awards contest. In 2015, he created his own
    company and employed more than 30 people. His clients
    include ministries and companies. Mustapha is a good example
    that shows how one can turn his passion into a career.
