The materials were displayed on a flat-screen TV that was not easily visible from the back seat,
making it difficult for the students in the back to read the text because the teacher used a small font
size.

Answer
Using interactive whiteboards in the classroom
By: Platinum Copier Solutions
Interactive whiteboards allow educators to take standard lessons and turn them into
interactive activities. Kids have fun while they learn. Interactive whiteboards are replacing overhead
projectors in classrooms across the nation. Here are 7 reasons why: first enhanced lessons. Interactive
whiteboards integrate various learning styles into one experience. Students can learn by seeing,
hearing, and interacting with the board through touch. This equips teachers with new, innovative
ways to teach the same subject material. Because of this, students learn better and remember more.
Second interactive learning. Interactive whiteboards allow children to interact with the learning
material. They become a part of the lesson and can even teach each other. Their understanding of the
subject is seen through touching, drawing, or writing on the board. Educational games can be played
by entire classrooms. They also provide immediate feedback, so students and teachers can easily
assess student progress. Third easy to use. Interactive whiteboards are clean and require very low
maintenance. No chalk or markers or other writing utensils needed. Data is modified using a
specialized pen for highlighting, drawing, and writing. Therefore, there is no mess. No cleanup. It’s just
that easy. Fourth flexibility in the classroom. Various media types can be displayed on an interactive
whiteboard. Whether photos, graphs, maps, illustrations, or videos- teachers have an abundance of
options. You can create creative lessons to inspire your students. Fifth connected to internet.
Interactive whiteboards are connected to the internet which gives you a resource of online tools and
information. Teachers have access to various sources to enhance and support their lessons with video,
articles, images, learning tools, and more. Students also have a rich resource for research and
learning. Sixth integrated technology. Interactive whiteboard technology allows for the integration of
various other technologies to enhance student learning. Any device you can think of like computers,
microscopes, cameras, and video cameras can be attached to the boards to enhance instruction. As a
result, the possibilities are near endless. Lastly, proven effectiveness. Students are more attentive in
the classroom. Comprehension improves. Test scores rise. Literacy increases. Students learn better
and remember it. When children engage more in the classroom, learning always increases.

Activity 15.1

The subject was mathematics, and the lesson was all about addition, subtraction,
multiplication, and division. Ma’am Jenevel Labrador was their mathematics teacher; she discussed
the lesson first and let her students take a quiz regarding their lesson topic. She only let her students
answer the quiz for 15 minutes, and then they checked their papers after that. She called on 10 of her
students to answer the questions on the board and let them explain how they got those answers.

Activity 15.1 Narrative on the Day in the School Life of the Quality Teacher
Every day is a new day for a teacher, with a new lesson plan to make, a new lesson to discuss,
and a new teaching strategy to plan. Being a teacher is not as easy as some people think because you
have to plan every lesson in order for students to learn from it.

A day in the life of a quality teacher is like a war because you have to deal with diverse
students, and in order to have peace, you need to respect each other's differences and embrace what
you have. a war because some students might be stubborn and some are not paying attention during
class discussion. It's hard for the teacher if the students are not paying attention during classes
because it makes them fail during assessment. We can’t deny the fact that it makes teachers feel
irritated and angry if that happens. To avoid that, teachers must have a lot of patience to understand
their students and ask them what appropriate teaching strategies they like in order for them to have
an interesting discussion. Some students are not paying attention during the discussion because they
don’t like the topic or they feel bored by the way the teacher delivered the lessons.

A teacher's day can be stressful, but it's all worth it if the students understand the lesson, you
teach them.

Activity 15.2

Activity 15.2 Narrative on How you will manage teaching-learning in the 21 st Century
Classroom

We are now in the 21 st century, where technology is the common tool that everyone is usually
using. Many technological inventions have been made in order for people to work easily in their
respected jobs.

I will manage my teaching so that my students are engaged with technology and can learn and
practice how to use and operate it. I will teach them how to properly use computers and other gadgets
that were used in the classroom in order for them to know how they work. It is also critical to monitor
your students' computer use, especially in the digital age, which has many negative consequences for
people. I will teach them the advantages and disadvantages of technology in order for my students to
be aware of it.

Furthermore, since we are now in the 21 st century, it is important that students are exposed to
technology in order for them to have a better understanding of its importance and to make them
realize that excessive use of it is not good either.

My Accomplished Observation Sheet

1. Formative assessment can be observed prior to instruction in the typical classroom setting.
Before the supposed lesson begins, the teacher may conduct a diagnostic test or pre-test.
During the discussion, activities such as asking someone to explain or answer a question,
assigning a learning task related to the subject matter and objectives, and so on are carried out.
When a student does not understand a concept, teachers ask other students to assist him or
her by allowing someone to explain the concept and answer the question. The teacher may
occasionally record the students who are taking part in the discussion.

My Analysis
2. Teachers use formative assessment to check students' comprehension of the lesson.
Methods used by the teacher when students did not fully comprehend the lesson
 Peer tutoring (Tutors were assigned by the teacher to teach one or two classmates).
 Teacher gave a Module for more exercises for lesson mastery
 Teacher did re-teaching

My Reflection
3. Assessment is incredibly important in the teaching and learning cycle. You can determine
whether or not learning was successful. When it is formative, evaluation is for learning. In
many cases, rather than at the conclusion, learning is assessed as it is occurring. Students are
provided with feedback on their work and suggestions on how to make it better so that they
are fully aware of what is expected of them. In assessment for learning, teachers use
assessment as an investigable tool to learn as much as possible about what their students know
and can do, as well as any misunderstandings, preconceptions, or gaps they may have. When
deciding what to do next to advance students' learning, teachers use a wide range of
information they gather about students' learning processes as the foundation.

My Accomplished Observation
1. In addition to the teacher's formative evaluations, students also practice assessment as learning in
class. Clear criteria are also presented when performance tasks are given to students. Teachers give
students the chance to assess and consider their own learning. Every time a new lesson is introduced,
the teacher always allows the students to have a clear set of learning objectives.

My Analysis
2. To determine precisely how well the students are doing, formative assessments are used.
Additionally, it is done so that the teacher can plan how to reteach and help the students grasp the
lessons they are having trouble understanding. Through peer teaching, the teacher instructing
themselves, and other creative activities, it can take the form of remedial teaching.

My Reflection
3. The process of assessment as learning encourages students to take more responsibility of their
education and keep track of their progress. The teacher's role in fostering the growth of independent
learners through assessment as learning entails modeling and teaching the skills of self-assessment,
assisting students in setting their own goals and tracking their progress toward them, offering
examples and models of good practice and high-quality work that reflect curriculum outcomes, and
working with students to establish clear criteria of good practice.
My Accomplish Observation Sheet

1. A teacher usually uses traditional assessment in a class. Most often, they used selected
response types such as true or false, multiple choice, and matching type. They also use
constructed-response types of tests, such as essays and problem solving, in order for
students to test their critical thinking skills in answering the questions given without any
choices to make.

Observations

2. My resource teacher usually uses matching-type tests, multiple-choice questions, and

problem solving. These three types of tests were her basis for determining the learning of
her students regarding the topic that she had already discussed.

Reflection

3. Traditional assessment is one of the most effective assessment methods used by teachers. It
was easy for students to understand the questions and easy to answer them. Multiple
choice was one of the most commonly chosen types. Multiple choices require critical
thinking skills to understand the given questions in order to correctly answer the letter that
is best suited for the question. On the other hand, for the constructed response test, the
most common was the essay. The essay was a good test because it let you express and share
what you understood about the given questions.

Accomplished Observation Sheet
1. In the table of specification (TOS) the learning outcome was prepare tools and equipment for
specific baking purpose, familiarize the standard table of weight and measurement, familiarize
the techniques in measuring dry and liquids ingredients properly and perform mathematical
operation in converting weights and measure. Each learning outcome has a 1hr and 30 minutes
class hours.

Analysis

2. TOS was very helpful because it served as a guide for the teacher in constructing their
assessment. Assessment should align with the learning objectives in order for students to
answer the question given to them.

Reflection
3. In making the assessment, it is important to first create the table of specifications (TOS) to have
appropriate test questions. In making test questions, the questions should be aligned to the
learning objectives in order for students to correctly answer them. If the question does not
correspond to the learning objectives, the students may not understand the test and, in the
worst-case scenario, they may fail. To avoid this, ensure that tests are aligned with learning
objectives.
Accomplished Observation Sheet

The teacher has applied educational philosophy. In accordance with my resource teacher, she
was likely using behaviorism, constructivism, rationalism, reconstructionism, and progressivism.
These philosophies served as her guide and served as the foundation for her teaching behavior or
strategy.

My Philosophy of Teaching
These may be of help: the students progress in their learning
I believe that the learner (concept of the learner) has a different way of learning and I should respect
and understand them.
I believe that I should teach the learners the style of teaching that they prefer in order for them to
easily understand the lesson.
By doing this I can assure that my students no longer feel difficulty during my class discussion
I believe that I have responsibility as a teacher and to be an effective teacher I must design educational
activities that will both challenge and enable each student to reflect and develop.
