Question and Answer
What do you like about the curriculum?
 I like the K–12 curriculum because it is for the future of many Filipinos who will
not be able to pay for their children's 2 further years of education in college. It
is advantageous for them to secure a solid job for themselves. To raise the
level of living in our nation and to minimize the hardships that uneducated
children suffer. The student's abilities and skills will fully develop in this
stream ulam, giving them the opportunity to decide what they want to do with
their lives in the future.

What you don't like about the curriculum?

 As a teacher, I don't like this curriculum because it's possible that one or two
students won't like it or won't want to attend a class because they believe that
it will take too long for them to finish high school and that an additional two
years will be too much for them.

What ten ideas or concepts can you tell?

 1. Enhancing cognitive, psychomotor, and emotional abilities.
 2. Prolonged education
 3. Government funding is becoming more substantial.
 4. Increasing standard of living across the nation.
 5. A better teacher is necessary for higher education.
 6. Develop the pupils' needs and interests.
 7. Make a significant contribution to the nation.
 8. Outstanding students
 9. Personalities that have grown.
 10. Reduce the number of youth who lack an education.

B. What do I know? What can I tell? (Write your own personal opinion/s on the K to 12
curriculum being the third graduate of this type of curriculum).
 The K–12 program offers students a wide range of opportunities.
It aids the learner in making a decision about the type of
profession they want to pursue in the future. It also provides a
wide range of options that are based on students' intellectual
prowess rather than the conventional curriculum. The K–12
curriculum/program is an illustration of a progressive curriculum
in which each learner has been given an equal opportunity to
develop their knowledge and skills.

Though we could argue that we are already prepared to begin the

change in our educational system, the government is rushing to
implement the program, which is not the case to blame.

Self-Reflect:

Reflect on the statement below and comment: “The K to 12 is bound to fail

because it is implemented hurriedly without thorough planning”.

The statement is true because I can assess it based on my personal

experience as a result of having gone through a hurried educational process. I
had a lot of issues as a student and had a hard time properly adjusting to this
new idea. I have thought of myself as young and unprepared for the future up
until now. We were given far too many activities and assignments throughout
our academic careers, which I believe were unnecessary. I stopped studying for
exams because most teachers concentrated on students' participation in lessons
and activities. Additionally, the environment for learning was unprepared,
particularly by the time I entered senior high school. The teachers lacked
training, and there weren't enough resources for education.
According to earlier discussions, the curriculum needs to be carefully
thought out and suitable for the educational environment. Experts must review
it before planning and putting it into action. There has been a sizable setback in
Philippine education as a result of the K12 curriculum's incompleteness. It
seriously damaged the environment, which is now irreparable. This is due to
some people's desire to keep pace with other nations while maintaining a full
stomach and wallet. Many people were unable to show their proficiency in this
area as a result. My previous discussions have led me to believe that the K12 is
like glass: it is breakable, unstable, fragile, and devoid of the water of knowledge
needed to quench the Filipinos' thirst for knowledge.
