the TLDR, Long story short it was not worth spending the time to sit 3 hours and watch.
“The Batman” movie was a sad disappointment to all batman trilogies. You don’t need lengthy
entrances and crazy sound effects to tell a story. Even the dialogue was in poor taste. Nothing
that stood out to me, as a viewer. We all know the focus was on Batman but he was
Over half of the 3 hour movie had more sound affects to help move the action packed story.
Especially with batman sluggishly entering into scenes to help crackdown the mysterious riddles
laid out by the riddler I understand the first scene was to set the tone. However it did not need to
be overplayed again and again when it came to the following scenes.
Next would be by analysis of Bruce Wayne and Batman. As Batman he was aloof. He hides’ in
the shadows and no one’s suppose to know who he is. Robert Patterson plays batman well.
However there was not much dialogue there. Just long distant stares. That didn’t add to his
character. It kind of reminded me of Edward Cullen all over again. Again too many of those kind
of scenes. As Bruce Wayne he does not play him differently from his alter ego batman. He
remains a mystery to the public. Everyone already knows he was the son of thomas wayne and
that’s it. Many times the city briefly interacts with himm but we don’t get any further insight other
than that. There was no character development other than what’s told from the villan’s
perspective.
HIs love interest Catness, was confusing. Their chemistry together did not read well. I know he
just met the girl, but already it felt forced to be enraptured by her looks. As an audience, I didn’t
feel the sexual tention they had on screen. His whole obsession came out to be more creepy
than what the directors may have had in mind.
Unfortunately I started to snooze in the beginning because of the cadence of the movie was
pretty slow. The story got convoluted as they were introducing multiple bad guys in the scene.
THe main one was “the Riddle” and the others wer the penguin and the italian mafia dude. I
forgot his name but will insert when I find the synopsis. However the layering of the plot was in
poor taste. I think each villain could have had their own separate story, I think the penguin did
not need to be there to get the main overarch. Though it seemed like he was the decoy that the
batman got sucked into while the riddle was trying to give him clues to who he is. He read the
clue wrong because he didn’t know spanish. Im sorry but the other batman would have known
better. We have Google translate for this. I mean if he’s so tech savvy supposedly wordly known
this was just a waste time to watch. Other than that. There was a huge plot twist that Cat
Women’s dad was actually a Villan. They never went deep into that story. This is where the
movie coud have done a little better with the character development. As an audience getting laid
onto you was prettty far out of left field for the viewer.
I like how th riddle was laying out the clues for Batman. However with all that he still could’t
figure it out until the end. Even with all that cool eye glass technology. It didn’t really do much.
Im writing this a few weeks later, and no scene really comes to mind
