Detailed Lesson Plan in TLE ( Bread & Pastry Production, Grade 7 & 9 )

I. LEARNING OBJECTIVES

At the end of this lesson, you are expected to do the following:

1. Identify the baking tools and equipment based on their uses;

2. Enumerate and classify the tools and equipment needed in baking;

3. Draw the tools and equipment used in baking;

4. Appreciate the importance of using tools and equipment in baking

II. LEARNING CONTENT / SUBJECT MATTER

Topic : Lesson 1 Use tools and bakery equipment

Materials : Laptop, television, chart and other instructional materials

Reference : Bread and Pastry Production K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum Technology and
Livelihood Education Learning Module, ( Exploratory Course Grade 7 and Grade 9 ).

Value : Appreciate the importance of using tools and equipment based on their uses.

Integration :

III. LEARNING ACTIVITIES

A. Preparatory Activities

3. Motivation

( The teacher will implement the games called " Guess The Action ". The teacher will give the
students a names of tools and equipment in baking then the students will individually stand in
front and demonstrate/act the tools based on their uses. While one student act in front, the
remaining students will guess the names of tools and equipment uses in baking. The students
who can guess sa answer will have 2 points in the quiz ).

B. Developmental Activities

Teacher : "I know that you are all familiar about the tools and equipment used in baking because
I heard that this section was a competent baker and by the way congratulations to those students
who passed the bread and pastry production assessment and become BPP NC II holder ".

( Students are feeling very proud of themselves).

Baking Wares are made of glass or metal containers for batter and dough with various sizes and
shapes.
( After the discussion ask the students to the following questions ).

Direction : Read the given recipe carefully and list down all the tools that you need to prepare in
order to finish the activity.

Butter Cake

Ingredients:
3 cups cake flour. 1 cups sugar
1 cup butter. 1 cup milk
8 eggs. 1 tsp.vanilla
4 tsp.baking powder

Procedure:
1. Sift the dry ingredients together except the sugar.
2. In a large bowl, cream the shortening until light and fluffy.
3. Blend eggs one at a time and beat well after each addition.
4. Add vanilla to the milk.
5. Add dry and liquid ingredients alternately to the creamed mixture.
6. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes.
7. Cool the cake, invert and the paper lining. Then served.
