What I Need to Know

This module is one of the many modules prepared by the teachers which
assists and help learners to improve their ability to handle Math Lessons like
fractions which will be used by the pupils in their home study without the aid
of the teacher. The lessons in this module are included in the most essential
learning competencies of the Division of Pampanga.

This Self Learning Kit provided activities and experiences that will
encourage and enhance pupils’ positive attitude and develop appreciation
towards the subject as they understand and master the concepts and skills
in computations and problem solving.

After going through this module, you are expected to:

 Solve routine and non-routine problems involving addition and subtraction

fractions using appropriate problem solving strategies and tools.

3
contained 69 5liters. How many liters of gasoline were
left?

Steps in Problem Solving

a. What is asked?
a. Number of liters of gasoline left to Noel
b. What are the given facts?
 129 liters of gasoline Noel has
2
 38 7liters of gasoline on one container
3
 69 liters of gasoline on the other container
