1. A = {1, 2, 3}
B = {(1,1),(2,2),(1,2),(3,3),(2,1),(1,3)}
Show that B is not equivalence relation.
And also find graph and matrix of B.

2. A = {a, b, c, d, e}
B = {(a,a),(a,c),(c,d),(e,b),(c,d),(b,b)}
C = domain of B
D = range of B
Find C, D, C  D, C  D

3. A = {10, 20, 30, 40}


Find B = { (a, b) | a ≤ b }
C = { (a, b) | a > b }
Find 𝐵𝑐 , 𝐶 𝑐 , 𝐵−1 , 𝐶 −1
And also find graph and matrix of B.

4. A = {3, 6, 9, 12}
B = {(3,3),(6,6),(12,12),(9,9),(3,9),(9,3)}
Prove that B is compertible relation.

5. A = {r, s, t, p}
B = {(r,r),(s,t),(s,p),(s,s),(t,t),(t,p),(p,p),(r,p),(p,r)}
Find 𝐵𝑐 , 𝐵−1
And draw graph of B, 𝐵𝑐 , 𝐵−1
Find matrix of B, 𝐵𝑐 , 𝐵−1

6. A = {m, n, o}
B = {(m,m),(n,n),(o,o),(m,o),(o,m)}
Show that B is equivalence relation and find all equivalence class.
7. A = {x, y, z}
B = {(y,y),(z,x),(x,y),(x,z)}
Find 𝐵2 , 𝐵3
And also find transitive closure of B.

8. A = {5, 6, 7}
B = { (a, b) | a∙b is odd number }
B is reflexive or not ? why ?
B is symmetric or not ? why ?
B is anti-symmetric or not ? why ?

9. A = {75, 85, 95}


B = {(75,85),(85,95),(95,75)}
Find 𝐵2 , 𝐵3
And also find transitive closure of B.

10 If A = {a, b, x, y}
B = {(a,a),(a,x),(b,y),(y,b),(b,b),(x,x),(y,y),(x,a)}
Then Show that B is equivalence relation and find all equivalence class.

11 If B = {(a,a),(b,b),(a,c),(b,c),(c,b)}
Then
B is symmetric or not ? why ?
B is anti-symmetric or not ? why ?

12 If A = {p, q, r}
Then write a relation which is reflexive but not symmetric.
And also write a relation which is symmetric but not reflexive.
