General Approach

During the seven-week program

1. Each week, read the PMI-ACP Exam Prep chapter and complete all the exercises.
2. Don’t do the book chapter review quizzes just yet, or do them on separate sheets of paper for now.
You will be coming back to them later.
3. Make a note of any questions you have for the weekly Zoom call.
4. Post your questions to the LinkedIn group and try to answer other people’s questions, dialog
promotes learning.
5. Attend the weekly Zoom call, ask your questions, answer the poll questions, watch and listen to the
content summaries.
6. Print the posted mind-maps and use them for revision.
7. Test your knowledge with the posted practice questions.
8. As you finish each chapter, go back and review the domain summary on the first page of the chapter.
Make sure you understand each key topic and task and how it is used on agile projects. If there are
any concepts you are unsure of, review that part of the chapter to improve your understanding.

After the seven-week program

9. Once you are confident you know the material, test yourself with the chapter review quizzes in each
domain, doing them all in one sitting. Use the results as a baseline to track your progress as you
continue to study. This can help you determine how much more study time you need and which
chapters to review more carefully.
10. Review each question you got wrong in the chapter reviews, writing down the specific reasons for
each wrong answer. Assess why the correct choice is correct and why the other answers are wrong.
11. Continue to study from the book, focusing on the areas in which you have gaps in your knowledge
and skimming through the sections or chapters in which you did well.
12. Once you are confident you know the material, take the practice quiz on the extras website for this
book. NOTE: This quiz provides a small sampling of the kinds of questions you are likely to encounter
on the real exam. Although it isn’t long enough to identify all your weak areas, you can use it to
gauge whether you might need PM FASTrack® exam simulation software.
13. Analyze the questions you got wrong, and study any topics you missed. Make sure you have filled
your gaps before taking the exam.
14. Let me know if you have any questions [email protected]
15. Schedule your exam
16. Pass your exam!
