Statement of the Problem

This study aims to determine the role of women in household waste management in

Laguinbanua West, Numancia, Aklan.

Specifically, it seeks to answer the following questions:

1. What is the women’s profile in terms of:

1.1 age

1.2 highest educational attainment

1.3 number of children; and

1.3 estimated monthly income?

2. What are the types of waste that are found in the household when classified as:

2.1 biodegradable;

2.2 non-biodegradable; and

2.3 residual?

3. What are the methods used by the respondents in managing household waste when they are

categorized as:

3.1 reducing;

3.2 reusing;

3.3 recycling; and

3.4 recovering?

4. To what extent do women practice household waste management in terms of:

4.1. reducing;
