General Instructions
Main/subheadings
Note: We have designed this format according to an Orphans project example for
your understanding ONLY. You have to choose different topics and information
under each heading will be according to your topic. Write information in
paragraph forms under relevant headings. Do not copy from examples. You just
have to follow the main headings and sub-headings while filling them with your
own information while using the General Instructions.

1. Project Description:

Introduce your project in this paragraph. Answer the following questions.

What is the topic of your project? Which organization or cause do you wish to work with? What
are the list of activities which you will be doing in your project? for example you might conduct
interviews with adults or do some art activities with children. Try to do at least five different
activities in each project. Also include general details about your project routine. How will you
carry out the project.
Activities:
(Note: Activities will be different for each topic)
1. Plan a health awareness activity.
2. Interactive games.
3. Plan group sessions with adults.
4. Plan a disease awareness day (i.e. for cancer or AIDS)
5. Fundraising.

Documentary.
General routine:
1. (Will be different according to the cause or organization/topic you choose)
2. Volunteering in administrative work.
3. Group and individual counselling sessions.
4. Community tasks of the organization.
5. Helping out the organization in its advertisement and social media awareness.
6. Pinpoint the issues faced by the organization and try to look up for solutions or report them
at government level.

Topic of Project:

Name of Organization or cause:

List of activities:
Project execution:

(How will you maintain the project for example you can write: We will make a schedule of each
day and will timely carry out all the activities. Time management will be ensured. We will plan
regular meetings with our supervisor if needed guidance and instructions etc. Costs will be
managed by equal contribution and external donations.

2. Rationale:

This paragraph must include the reason behind the execution of this project. How will it benefit
the community and specific individuals with whom you are working? Also include the reason of
choosing this topic. Describe your current level of knowledge and skills and how this project will
enrich them.

Benefits for the community: As a whole, the community will benefit if the children engage
themselves in positive tasks like helping others as well as helping the orphanage by owning it and
calling it their home. If they learn new skills and are educated, they might serve others by being
successful in different fields such as community workers, health care providers.

Benefits for the individuals: i.e. (Children in orphanage, what will they learn etc.)

Reason: For example: I have chosen to work with children because children are the future of the
country. Deprived and aimless lives will cause a strain on a country’s economy. When there will
be no accommodation left for them, they might engage in criminal behavior etc.

Current level: For example: I am a student of ADP in second semester. I do feel the passion for
working with children, but I lack experience. This project will help me to enhance by public
dealing skills etc.

3. Expected Outcomes:

What are your expectations or foresight regarding your project? Will your project be a success or
not? Will it motivate you towards becoming a volunteer leader? Add conclusive remarks about
why students must be given such community projects and how they can play a role in the personal
development of the students.

Example: With proper planning, this project have high chances of bringing positive outcomes. It
will motivate me to work selflessly for the deprived and vulnerable orphans and cultivate altruism.
Theory alone, cannot make students capable of being productive members of the community,
whereas theory combined with practical community work equips the future psychologists of
tomorrow for the better understanding of human emotions and suffering. This experience will
cultivate independence, resource management etc. in students.
