WHAT IS EDTECH?
- It is the study and practice of teaching and learning processes and strategies that
incorporate devices, apps, programs and media.
WHAT IS E-LEARNING?
- E-Learning is learning utilizing electronic technologies to access educational
curriculum outside of a traditional classroom.
WHAT IS BLENDED LEARNING?
- The term for generally applied to the practice of using both online and in-person
learning experiences when teaching students.
- According to Wiki Books: Blended learning can be described as “Integrated
learning”, “hybrid learning”, “multi-method learning” (Node, 2001)..
WHAT PARENTS NEED TO KNOW ABOUT BLENDED LEARNING
The following 5 tips may help parents of kids studying in digitally-enhanced classrooms to swim
the currents of uncertainty
1. Know that technology in classroom is to support learning (and not all cool tech toys
support learning).
2. Distinguish trusted online learning sources from non-trusted sources.
3. Stay connected with your child’s school and teachers.
4. Know that "blended" is not equal to "online".
5. Beware of self-paced and flexible learning schedules.
