The wireline system has revolutionized the core

retrieval process, but without tools you can depend
on, the results could be unfavorable.

Sandvik offers a reliable overshot for vertical down

to -45° angle holes featuring robust lifting dogs and a
safety pin for when handling the inner tube assembly
out of the hole.

Sandvik’s “P” wireline core barrel has been modified

to include components of the smaller “H” system. This
lighter weight core barrel makes it easier and safer
for the driller to handle. Is also features the direct
mechanical “cam” latching system for increased
productivity. The simple, three-piece design offers a SPECIFICATIONS
reliable, easy loading, free falling alternative to current Ø mm in

NOTE: The overshot is shipped with the release sleeve (item 12)
attached to the assembly with the set screw (item 15), these
must be removed prior to normal operation.

A safety pin (item 21) is included with the overshot assembly and
can be used when handling the inner tube assembly out of the
hole. When inserted into the overshot head, it helps to prevent

the lifting dogs from releasing the spearhead point.
