Professional Experience:
Independently plan and manage Drug Substance (DS), Drug Product (DP), and Investigational Medicinal Product
(IMP) distribution & returns for assigned clinical studies.
Work collaboratively within Logistics and Clinical Supply (LCS), with external vendors, and with all other inter-
faces and stakeholders as required to ensure highly effective clinical product distribution.
Apply import/export intelligence and depot knowledge to develop distribution strategies appropriate to highly effec-
tive clinical product supply.
Includes DS, DP, and IMP distribution, returns and destruction activities for Development Projects both domestic
and international.
Liaise closely with distribution vendors to ensure accuracy of information transfer and creation/ maintenance/track-
ing of accurate distribution plans, import/export documents, permits etc
Provide input to Interactive Web/Voice Response System (IXRS) Specifications for distribution, review and ap-
proval of requirements, completion of system specifications and participation in user acceptance testing (UAT)
Ensure timely maintenance of current, accurate and complete IMP distribution records (hard copy and electronic )
enabling that all necessary files are uploaded to the product Specification File (PSF), Trial Master File (TMF) or
other relevant GXP system.
Support and manage the IMP returns process including review of returns of materials from clinical sites to aid in
documenting full IMP reconciliation.
As required coordinate distribution activities in relation to DS and/or QC sample shipments aligned to assigned
projects or manufacturing facilities.
Collaborate within LCS and ensure successful on-time delivery of quality DS, DP, IMP and AMP to assigned
projects.
Liaise closely with Quality Assurance (QA) to coordinate activities relating to clinical distribution and ensure exe-
cution in compliance with cGMP, GDP, GCP, & ICH guidelines.
Partner with stakeholders with challenges and risks associated with DS, DP or IMP distribution.
Utilizes strategic sourcing process to execute the category plans to deliver value through holistic approach to sup-
plier selection - Delivery, Quality, Service, Cost and Innovation. Leads Sourcing
RFx events (e.g. Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quote (RFQ), auction, etc.) according to the agreed
Sourcing Strategy; directly manages communications with suppliers and stakeholders throughout. Procures low
complex / critical goods and/or services and awards purchase orders and contracts in a fast paced environment based
upon internal customer needs and schedules. Supports the relationship with the business units to understand needs
and sell the services of Procurement that add value.
Support category management activities for Materials purchasing.

Supporting The Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) Group /CDC/ HHS and The Government Health and
Safety Solutions Operations
Manage, coordinate, and administer processes associated with the passage and transportation requirements
of materials, goods, products, or people.
Assist in operating and maintaining the SNS national stockpiled inventory and in ensuring the SNS inven-
tory is ready for deployment, providing the ability to respond 24 x 7 in an emergency.
Coordinate with the government on cache sites, state representatives, and third-party vendors on all trans-
portation requirements. Exercise discretion when delegating taskers to the 3rd party logistics vendor during
normal operations and/or during an emergency response, in the delegation of Federal counterpart.
Plan all aspects of the mission ensuring all coordination is handled properly and ensure the right product is
going to the right site via the best possible mode of transportation based on knowledge and experience.
Make transportation analysis based on review the picklist, loan agreements, control items, DEA registrant
information in order to ensure that they are compliant with cGMP standards during all phases of the mis-
sion.
Works with automated movements and transportation information systems as they pertain to transportation
operations. Current systems include Stockpile Resource Planning, and 3PL systems. Applies technical
knowledge of deployment, and shipping principles and policies in application of practical traffic and trans-
portation operational requirements.
Prepares appropriate documentation required for the mode of transportation asset being utilized. Uses local
and government transportation policies and procedures to arrive at the appropriate transportation solution.
Provides technical advice and assistance in the execution of daily transportation requirements.
Maintains transportation In-transit Visibility (ITV) for routine, high value and Sensitive Materiel trans-
portation movements.
Prepares Government Shipping Labels (GSL) and support Government Agency
Utilizes knowledge and expertise of the private industry transportation system to manage transportation re-
quirements for the government.
Obtains desired information from appropriate 3PL and government sources, organizes data into usable for-
mat for reporting, coordinates and follows-up with data systems and other management Information sys-
tems to ensure data collection is carried out.
