Task 1 of 3:
Introduction: write the script that you will be recording for your introduction here. Introduce yourself
and say what the documentary will be about. Maybe make a statement that you are going to challenge or
ask a question that you’re going to try and answer through the course of the documentary and in the
conclusion.
Introduction:

Hello, I'm Rebecca Riding and I will be talking about the history of wildlife photography and the use of colour and
exposure.

"Colour and exposure are important in wildlife photography because, when taking photograph’s of wildlife the definition
of colour can become vibrant, clear and eye catching".

"Colour is the important part and the important aspect in photography. For example: Colour can say 1000 words just by
looking at a photo. Colour can bring out the detail in a photography especially wildlife photography, depending on the
colour of the photo can make you feel all kinds of emotion".

I will be speaking to you about how wildlife photography was first developed in the 1819's and who was the first wildlife
photographer".

"Franz Lanting is important because he started taking photographs Madagascar where he documented his work. Ever
since then he has been famous for his work, he has appeared in books, magazines and exhibitions across the world".

"Here are some examples that I have researched over the past few weeks about my favourite wildlife photographers and I
will tell you their best art work that they have ever received and created in wildlife photography".

"I will also be showing you my best interest in

Brief History:

"I will now be talking about cherry and Richard Kearton.

Cherry and Richard are the first wildlife photographers in
the early 1890's. These two are relevant to the topic
because these were the first people who took wildlife
photographs in their year.

How technology has improved it:

Over the year's technology has improved over time because

through time we have used different camera's, recording
sounds. They have improved because through time those
objects have changed to a new model each year. That
makes us want to buy them, and to take photos. for
example, video camera

For example: Colour has improved over time, back then

things use to be black and white and now in the modern
days, life is all nice and colourful.
The audience will be able to see the technology in the early
1890's till the late 2000's. They will also be able to hear

that you need are:

well as the techniques for photography overall.

 Sound

Your own attempts at mastering a technique:

The audience will be able to see the video of Steve
talking about wildlife and the history of
Here is my own attempt on creating wildlife photography then a photo/video of wildlife
photography. So here are some examples which photography then going back to Steve, then
another photo appearing, then back to Steve again.
I have taken.

A technique which I have managed to attempt

would be night mode- just as it was getting
dark in Poole Park Sunset. I managed to get a
good technique with the swans heading into the
sun, the shadow I ended up creating in my
photography, and how the colour's were very
eye catching.

Another good technique that I have mastered in

my wildlife Photography would be getting a
close up of the butterfly that was in my garden
few weeks back, using zoom in on the lens I had
managed to wait a while for it to land on a leaf.
Then for me to take the photo with I was proud
of.

Interviews with people discussing the skills:

Steve was talking about how he hasn’t been

abroad to take wildlife i.e.. Tigers as such but he
took photos of red flags- birds up in Wales. He
also spoke about how technology has changed of
the years how cameras are now cheaper clearer
and easy to use than what they use to be like back
then. He also spoke about how time has changed
since the early 90’s up till now and how some
technology has kept the same and what has
changed.

Task 3 of 3:
Conclusion: write the script that you will be recording for your conclusion here. revisit your initial
question or statement from the introduction, recap some highlights of the things you’ve studied for your
question/statement and suggest whether the statement is supported or what the answer to the question
was.
Conclusion that evaluates the skill and why is it important in the industry:

Photography is the most popular subject in the media industry. Photography has seemed to be the most
creative way when capturing a photo, which has been going on for a few years now since the early
1890's.

Reason why photography is important because in this day in age people do still go out and take photo's
of either society, wildlife and the public and this can become very eye catching to some. Using skills
such as close up/long shots to be able to create that photograph, when using a camera can make the
photograph look very detailed, to be able to have that effect on the photograph.

The skill of photography and why it is important is because for those who are taking photo's of birds,
trees or even a landscape photograph, they can use their mobile phone or possibly a camera. Those who
want to take photo's of lions, squirrels up close would use far bigger, better lens camera to take these
pictures of wildlife, along that you need to have patience.
